What were the most anticipated
In order for me to enjoy anything post Far Cry - I'd need to upgrade the most powerful of my three rigs (PC's ) so I can play all those resource hungry games heh.
But the games I last played were painkiller, half life 2, GTA: San Andreas, Second Sight and Sims 2.
of those games, Sims 2 got sold within a few months of purchase (was pretty broke at one stage...)
my San Andreas DVD-Rom disc ended up having a crack going down to the center of it, hence why I miss it so.
but, I just went to IGN and kind of re-ignited, re-wettened my appetite for pc gaming again.
i use to own an xbox, but sold the damn thing back in mid 04.
i am a huge fan of San andreas and wish to get hold of that game again asap, also, i want to know what are the best 'space' based games, whereby you travel across galaxies, meet aliens/other life forms, trade/form alliances/enemity/ and war with them.
Options to mod a ship, and venture off into a Graphicaly blissful (i want a space game that boasts a sense of atmosphere akin to star trek or something)
the idea is to play such a game online, so that one could interact with other players etc. Also, being able to land and explore new worlds and space stations etc would be awesome.
for the life of me, i can't quite figure out which games offer all of this and more.
yeah i know far cry 2 is coming out (or is out ?) thats kind of interesting.
I also know about GTA IV - that looks **** hot but again, money prohibits me from aquiring the resources to enjoy the game the way its meant to be.
so what were the most anticipated games of 06,07 and 08 ? which ones delivered their promise ? which ones were a let down ? |
