Is it worth starting to play World of Warcraft?

Hey, i'm wondering whether or not to start playing WoW...

I've played Guild Wars for 2 years but it's just not 'doing it for me' now, it's more like a "been there, done that" thing now.

So I thought I'd give WoW a shot, but before I do, I have afew questions.

No.1 - Do many people still play this game? I ask this because I don't want to go onto a server and find out that it has like 10 people playing on it, that'd make me quit.

No.2 - Would I be able to just play the game, say, 3 hours a day and still get somewhere? As I have a full time job soooo I won't be on it 24/7.

My main concern though is how active the game is, one of the main reasons i'm probably qutting Guild Wars is 'cause the game has really fallen and hasn't that many 'active' players now, sure people are still on the game, but not actually doing anything except standing around.

Thanks.
Don't get started on it!!!  You WILL become addicted!!! Trust me, it took me like 2 years to finally stop playing it.
yes millions of people still play wow on allmost every server ( some have more than others it tells you relitivly how many right next to the server name). 3 hours a day you'll be fine in leveling but some things in the higher levels can take quite a long time.
runescape popular game these days its just like warcraft the thing is alot of people play warcraft but it is too expensive runescape is ether free or 5 dollars a month if member and my point of view is runescape is way better i hope this helped you=)

It's not worth it if you're not going to go on it 24/7. The price is somewhat expensive and there is a chance that you will go on a bad server. Also, I've heard rumors that you will get fired if you play the game.
Not worth it, WoW sucks!
ya its worth playing its pretty cool i just watch ppl play but its worth playing
Ok i have played for 3 years, and have 9 characters total, all at mid level or higher.  Lately I have been only able to play on the weekends, but I have still managed to level at least one of them per weekend.

So to answer your questions-

yes people still play, you can check how many are on each server, and with an addon find out how many have actually ben on in the last 30 days.  If this is a concern you should serf the servers, and there are plenty, before deciding which one you want to stay in.  Oh and it also depends per server whether it is stronger on the horde side or the alliance side.

3 hours is enough, especially in teh beginning.  You should be able to level up once or twice through level 10, and probably oncein that time through level 20.   This all depends on how you play and how much effort you put into questing.

My fiance` used to play guild wars, and got bored very quickly with the game when he did play, so I understand your frustration.

Play WOW!
