To find him and start the quest you'll have to head to the Sentinel's Tower Research station in Wailing Wastes. It can be found in the far North East of that zone, just past the crater lake.

You will find Smug through the wire fence in front of a tall silo like building.

Eel's Little Brown Book

Say 'Hello' to him and the conversation dialogue window will open. In the course of the conversation he will tell you about a book he would like to get his hands on. It comes from his omni counterpart Eel. He wants you to recover a book from Eel.

Eels will take one group at least to take out, probably more, there is a tie limit on the quest so you might want to go take him out first then head over to Smug.

At the time of writing this guide Eels has not been taken down enough to know if he drops the book every time.

A little Brown Book Description: This is a book of fencers belonging to Supply Master Eel.

Eels can be found in the main omni outpost in Avalon, but be warned he is over level 200 and in a very heavily defended base, getting to him is going to be no easy feat and require several well organized teams. The outpost can be found at coords 1850 x 1198 in Avalon.

This base, like it's smaller counterpart in Avalon is very well defended, and now has Omni control towers at the entrances, the southern entrance is slightly less heavily guarded, but either way you try and go in it will take a good amount of effort to fight your way in, or draw him out.

I would not recommend fighting in and around the towers, whilst they do less damage then some of the guards they have insane amounts of hitpoints and are better just being avoided.

At this time there hasn't been any reports of what else Smug will reward you with for returning the book other then the cash and exp.

Sentinels Armour Quest

Smug also acts as the source for Sentinel's armor. It seems that he has some spare armour lying around and will gladly trade it if you can provide him with some Omni AF armor. This can be found from the omni personnel in Avalon, although at the moment it seems to be a rare drop.

Speak with Smug and when it comes up select the option that says 'I have found some Omni AF armor', then all you have to do is trade him the omni armour and you will receive a piece of sentinels armour.

Multi Purpose Tuner

This item is essential for building towers in the Notum Wars, if you plan on building your own towers you will need one of these things. You need to find a Gift Wrapped Basket. These can be found in missions.

Take the Gift Wrapped Basket and trade it to Smug, he will give you this:
