Main This device is used for stripping cluster's out of an implant. At lower level's this probably isn't all that useful (apart from tweaking a little more exp from mission loot you'd otherwise just sell), but at higher levels when you can't buy the implants it is invaluable.

When used it strips out and destroys any installed clusters and leaves you with a basic implant.

Firstly though you have got to make one. This will require the assistance of a Fixer as one of the needed parts can only be bought in the Fixer shop

The items needed are:

Hackers Tool found in most tool or device vendors
Portable Surgery Clinic found in medical supplies vendors
Implant Disassembly Unit found in the Fixer shop

Firstly you need to hack the Portable Surgery Clinic, this skill requires the Breaking and Entering skill and a hacking tool with a QL within 75% of the Clinic you are trying to hack. This will result in a Hacked Portable Surgery Clinic.

Now take the Implant Disassembly unit and combine it with the Hacked Clinic, this uses the mechanical enginering skill.

There you go, one completed Clinic. Now you can happily mutilate implants all day! One last thing to note is that the process of stripping out the clusters uses both the nano-programming and the Breaking and Entering Skill

Wearing the Clinic??

One additional bonus is that Fixers can actually wear this clinic in their utils2 slot. It gives a bonus to your treatment skill, but as this is the same slot that you wear a Treatment Library in, it probably isn't that useful even to the Fixer. However if you can't get a Treatment Library of the QL you want this is a decent alternative.
