Avalon is a popular zone with clanners, both for the use of the mission booths, and for hunting at levels above 50 or so. There are also Omni facilities in the area and conflict between guards is common place.

Avalon contains the city of Camelot. Camelot is the headquarters of the Knights of Avalon, a clan based on the ancient principles of Sir Arthur's Knights. They are led by Lord Galahad.

Very hilly, with many tall spires of rock, volcanoes, mountain ranges and a desert region. Classic Badlands.

It is a very large zone and since the map requires 340+ Map Navigation to upload not many players have the it yet. Wailing Wastes is due south of Avalon, but I wouldn't recommend running to Avalon or Camelot unless you're well on your way to level 100 or have a Yalm and some spare time, besides there are much easier ways to get there.

How do I get there?

Simplicity itself if you have the relevant Computer Literacy skill (450+ I believe), there is a grid point in Camelot City, however beware if your Omni, the knights don't take well to uninvited members of the corporation. Since only high level players are going to use that level of terminal, most look for another route!

There are Whom-Pahs to Bliss (The Longest Road) and Wailing Wastes in Avalon.

Locations of note

City of Camelot
The main Clan outpost in this zone with a healthy stock of everything you would expect in the way of terminals and mission booths. You also have the entrance to the Camelot Castle Dungeon in the center of the town.

The mission booths in this zone are always popular, and with players of all levels on the clan side. With the Whom-pah to Athen readily available, it is easy for even low level players to Whom-pah to Camelot and grab a mission worth more cash as Avalon is so far removed from the other zones.

Missions to Newland for example will yield excellent profit at low levels. There are a couple of basic shops here as well.The town is guarded by the knights and they will kill on sight all Omni personnel.

Clan Outpost (near borgs) - Loc (approx 2000 x 3700)
Follow the road out of Camelot and you will soon come across another smaller fortress or outpost manned by the knights. This is a common staging ground for attacks on the nearby Cyborg Complex.

It has insurance terminals and a bank and a set of mission booths as well as a couple of stores, including a pharmacist.

Be slightly careful approaching as quite often a failed Borg raid will train the annoyed borg all the way to this fort, and while the knights usually sweep up easily it pays not to get caught in the cross fire.

The borg camp itself is a short distance NW of this outpost and is a good free for all hunting location. You can see the outcrop that the borg complex is hidden in clearly from just outside the outpost. (borgs are approx 1300 x 3990).

The outpost near the borg complex guarded by Sir Galahad's Knights, look NW from just outside the outpost and you will see the outcrop in the screenshot below, that's where the Borg Complex is.

Omni-Tek Facilities
Rather surprisingly given how far north Avalon lies, there is a considerable corporate presence in Avalon. Two outposts can be found around the following locations:

Omni-Pol Barracks (Approx 1850 x 1198)
Around which you can find the following supplies and shops: Advanced Armour, Advanced Pharmacist, Advanced Supermarket and Advanced Weaponry.

There is also a second set of barracks with a similar line up of shops at (approx) 834 x 1681.

Scattered around Avalon are also a series of crashed Omni troop shuttles, and a couple of Terraforming plants at (approx) 480 x 2414 and (approx) 2801 x 4326.

Omni-Pol Supremes are a common sight around these locations so Clanners are best advised to stay clear (or have lots of back-up!!).

A loyal Omni-Pol Supreme tries to hand out some justice to a group of clanners who got too close to Omni-Tek property in Avalon, the main Omni base in Avalon (as seen below).
