Having gone through the Preview, many of us have come across items that are sealed or cursed. This guide will show you how to unseal a sealed item and remove the curse from a cursed item. These two processes require souls, which can be obtained by breaking items. Weapons yield the most souls, earrings & accessories the least.

Getting Soulstones

Step 1: Click on the Break Item icon located in the bottom left corner of the inventory

Step 2: Select the item that you want to break to change them into Soulstones

Step 3: SUCCESS!!

Note that Weapons yield the highest number of Soulstones. I have arranged the list of items in order, from most to least number of Soulstones acquired.

1. Weapons
2. Armours (Chest piece)
3. Armours (Others: Head, Shoulder, Hands, Bottom, Feet piece)
4. Accessories (including necklaces, rings, capes)

Unsealing a Sealed item

Step 1: Exchange the souls for a Seal Removal Scroll

The Seal Removal Scroll can be exchanged from the Soul Craft NPC: Julie. It will cost you 3 souls to obtain a Seal Removal Scroll.

Step 2: Using the Seal Removal Scroll

Open up your Inventory (press "I") and select the tab Cons: Consumables. Right click on the Seal Removal Scroll to use it.

Step 3: Selecting the item to unseal

A new window will appear, with all the Sealed items in it. You can choose the one which you want to unseal. For me, I'll be unsealing this shield.

Step 4: Confirming the item to unseal

Once you have made up your decision on which item to unseal first, click on OK and the unseal will be done. Repeat Step 1 - 4 to unseal the next item.

[Tip]: Sealed items have hidden options (additional stats) which will only be revealed when they are unsealed!!

Soul Craft: Remove Curse

Cursed item are coloured RED and they can be equipped straight away. However, the base stat and options that they possess will not be added when equipped. Basically anything that is red in colour are not factored in when a cursed item is equipped. In addition to using souls, removing a curse requires money as well.

Step 1: Finding Soul Craft NPC: Julie

Select Soul Craft to remove the curse.

Step 2: Select Remove Curse

Step 3: Putting in the item to remove curse

Only when you satisfy both criteria of souls and money (in this case 23 souls were needed, along with 37 silver, 20 bronze) will the remove curse process be able to continue from here.

Step 4: Confirm the remove curse process

Yes, removing the curse from an item can fail. In this case, only the money and souls disappear whereas the item remains. Once ready, click on "Craft" and pray that those souls do their work.

SUCCESS!! A successful curse removal message will flash across your screen:

An item which has its curse removed will display the stats and options in white instead of red. This indicates that they will be added in when you equip the item.
