Testimony of Trust

By ValerieRose

This is the second quest in the human class change quest chain. It's common to all classes, so if you're a human and decide not to pay 3 million to change your quest with the easier class change quest that was introduced on CT2, you will have to do this quest. It used to be a lot more annoying, but the changes on CT2 made it a lot easier. I actually managed to finish this quest in around an hour. Anyway, the quest starts at Oren Castle Town, with High Priest Hollint at the Einhasad Temple. He'll ask you to try and gain the trust from all the other races. Be prepared, there will be lots of ports everywhere around Aden in this quest, but with the free ports on CT2 if you're under 40, or the dimensional diamonds if you're over 40, things are easier (and cheaper).

In any case, Hollint will send you to the Dark Elven and Light Elven Leaders.

Although he gives you both the "Letter to Elf" and "Letter to Dark Elf", you must go to the Elven Hierarch first. Hierarch Asterios is at the Church at Elven Village. He'll ask you to hunt two quest monsters: Luell of Zephyr Winds and Actea of Verdant Wilds.

Those quest monsters spawn by hunting normal Liriens and Dryads. You can hunt both Lirien and Lirien Elders to spawn Luell, and Dryads and Dryad Elders to spawn Actea. I'd suggest staying with Liriens and Dryads, since they're closer to the village and to each other. In any case, it should only take one of each to spawn the quest monsters. Liriens are aggro, but shouldn't be a problem since they are dark blue at lvl 35.

Once you have both quest items, you must go back to Asterios, who will thank you and then mumble something about the Dark Elves being evil, before sending you to Tetrarch Thifiell.

Thifiell is in the Shilen Temple, at the Dark Elven Village. Since the NPC's on Lineage II rarely do anything for free, he'll send you to Magister Clayton to get some materials that are needed for a research.

Clayton is at the Dark Elven Guild in Dion. He'll tell you what materials you need to collect, which are: Basilisk Plasma, Honey Dew and Stakato Ichor. Those items are "assembled" automatically in your inventory after you collect 10 items from each of the mobs. Guardian Basilisk's blood, Ant Soldier's Aphids, And Marsh Stakato Fluids. Those items won't show up on your quest guide, so pay attention to your quest inventory, or to the system window, as the assembled item will show up as a warning on your system window. In any case, the mobs you need are Guardian Basilisks on Death Pass, any Marsh Stakato from Cruma Marshlands, and any red ants (Soldier Ants) at the Ant's Nest. Be very careful at the Ant's Nest, since you'll find out that some red ants are tight together, and they're social. Lots of potions and more ideally a friend to help you out is the best way to go.

Here are the locations for each one of the mobs:

Marsh Stakatos (you can hunt any of them):

Guardian Basilisks are on Death Pass. You can use the Giran's Dragon Valley port, and then turn left and go straight forward to find a bunch of them.

The "Ant Soldiers" are any of the red ants, really. They can be found at the Ant's Nest.

Once you have the three items that are "assembled" from the 10 normal quest items, go back to Clayton in Dion, and he'll send you back to Thifiell at the Dark Elven Village.

Thifiell will accept your request of Trust and send you back to your "king". He really means Hollint in Oren.

And of course, Hollint will make you hop around a little bit more. He'll send you to Cardinal Seresin, who is, thankfully, right outside the church. Back in the past, the quest would stop here if you weren't 38, but since CT2, that requirement doesn't exist anymore. So just go talk to Ceresin outside the Oren Church, even if you're 37.

Seresin will send you to the Orcs and Dwarves next. Unfortunately, you can't talk to the Orcs and the Dwarves at once to save some time. You must take the Orc's task first, and then the Dwarves'. So, on to the Orc village.

At the Orc Village, you need to see Flame Lord Kakai. He will also ask you to complete a task for him before you can earn his trust. Kakai sends you to Seer Manakia, in Giran... good thing that from CT2, ports are free until lvl 40. If you're doing it past 40, I recommend using those dimensional diamonds in this quest. Really.

Seer Manakia can be found at the Orc Guild in Giran, and he'll ask you to collect 10 Parasites of Lota from Windsus. Again, back in the past updates, this part of the quest was probably the most annoying and painful due to the incredibly awful quest drop rate. On CT2, it's been changed and it's a 100% drop rate now. Thankfully!

The mobs you neeed are Windsus, and they can be found either at Death Pass, or the hunting area outside Hardin's Private Academy. I choose Hardin's because there are more Windsus in a smaller area. Once you have 10 Parasites, go back to Manakia.

Manakia will thank you for your help and send you back to Kakai. So on to the Orc Village again, and I hope now you understand why I said you'd be porting all over the Elmoraden continent.

Kakai will give you his trust, and warn you about the Dwarves... So that means you need to go to the Dwarven Village to talk to Lockirin, their leader.

Lockirin can be found at the Elder Council in the Dwarven Village. At first, as all the other races, he's angry with the humans (go figure!), but then agrees to give you his trust if you help Maestro Nikola in Cruma Tower.

This used to be one of the worst parts of the quest. Ever. Especially for the mystic class. I have to admit that it's still a little hard to do alone, but it's a lot better now on CT2. Nikola's near Cruma Tower, so use the Cruma tower port if you don't want to run, and then follow the arrow on your head, straighforward from the Cruma Tower exit. He'll ask you to go inside Cruma to hunt Portas, and bring him 1 heartstone of Porta (The quest log text is not updated, at least it wasn't when I did it, so if it still says you need 10, don't believe it. You really need 1).

When you have the heartstone (you only need to kill 1 Porta), go back to Nikola. At this point, you should be happy, the quest's almost over. He'll thank you and send you back to Lockirin, at the Dwarven Village.

Lockirin will give you his trust and send you back to your "Elder". Of course, he means Hollint in Oren.

At this point, your quest is ALMOST finished, but for some reason I really fail to understand, Hollint has to send you to Talking Island (No, I'm not kidding) to receive your mark from High Priest Biotin. Dimensional Diamonds or free ports help a lot in this quest!

Biotin is at the Einhasad Church, and just talk to him to receive your Mark of Trust.

Good thing that since CT2, the rewards for the second class change quests have been greatly enhanced. You get, besides the mark of Trust, 126106 adena, 695149 Exp and 46391 SP. Congratulations!
