1. Go just inside the entrance to Valley of Saints and locate the Hierarch. Start using /target hierarch as you enter Valley of Saints; he's located in a room underneath the entrance, so go inside VoS a little way then head right - you should see a grass-covered trench. Fall down there then run back towards the entrance.

2. When you've found him, initiate conversation

and get the quest called A Dark Twilight.

You're tasked with hunting Splendors

which are located all throughout Valley of the Saints (VoS).

3. Kill those nasty Splendors until you get 300 Blood of Saint quest items (these appear in both you Quests window and the Inventory Quest Items window). Splendors con lightgreen to white to yellow for a lvl64. Flash of Splendor has a nasty fire attack, Blades and Wailings split into 2 mobs and Fang of Splendor can transform into a panther; nothing is really difficult but you have to keep your wits about you.

4. With the quest complete, return to the Hierarch and initiate conversation with him.

He'll give you a choice of rewards,

either xp/sp or adena. I chose xp/sp.
