This is a new quest for C5, a way to help low levels get a decent, full set of armor (robe, light or heavy) very cheap. This quest is assuming that you've already been invited into an academy, and have a sponsor, and are level 19. And haven't done your second class change quests. This quest is the alternative version to the other academy quest "To lead and be lead", this one just takes place in Schuttgardt and has no surrounding aggressive mobs around the quest monsters.

1. Talk to Head Blacksmith Newyear in after the above requirements have been reached and he will tell you there is a new type of armor he can craft for you.

He tells you that nothing is free and you have a bit of questing to do, but its very easy.

2. The 10 Bruin Lizardmen you have to kill are right east of Schuttgardt and there are no other monsters in the way..

The quest item drop rate is medium. You will only need 10 quest items.

3. Then return to Newday with the items and he asks what type of armor you want him to make. He asks twice so don't screw up.

He tells you to have your sponsor bring 771 D crystals for robe and light armor. Heavy, is 922 D crystals.

Once he says this your sponsor can give him the crystals. You will get a quest pop up letting when the sponsor has given him the crystals

4. But its not over yet. Newday tells you that in order to see how close you and your sponsor are, you have to go South west of Schuttgardt and get 8 Arachnid legs from the Piccat Arachnids. (Passive quest monsters, no other monsters around)

HOWEVER see the part about needing your sponsor? He's not just making stuff up. It will not work solo. It will not work with the sponsor merely in party (I tried), they have to actually come with you. You will not need to be in party, but the sponsor does need to be close to you the whole time. These monsters unlike the other clan armor quest do not always give the legs. (but they are much easier to kill)

5. Return to Newday to receive your armor. It includes a helm, body armor, gloves, and boots with a set bonus of 5% PDEF, the robe also includes 5% casting speed and light armor has 3 evasion, and heavy is 5% pdef and 85 to hp. It is D grade so you can equip it at 20.
