1) This quest starts in Giran's Magic Guild with Magister Dieter. Simple quest in theory, go to Devil's Isle and hunt Sairon and her Sairon Puppets and Sairon Dolls and bring back their hair.

2) On Devil's Isle you'll come across the first of a couple of problems. One is that the dolls are deep inside of Devil's Isle, and they are group mobs (Sairon, two dolls, two puppets). Second is that they are crazy murderous and attack by melee as well as spam magic attacks and will quickly shred the stuffing out of an ill-prepared party. For example the dolls are 2x hp and level 53 with about 5,000 hp each. Oh and did I mention very aggro?

3) When you get at least 1 hair, and you can return with any amount as it is unlimited. The more you bring back at a time, the lower your overall reward per item. If you come back with 1 hair you'll receive 12,570 adena. 2 hairs is 13,070 adena, so the reward already goes down to 6,535 a hair. 40 hairs is 32,070 or 801 adena a hair. For those formula buffs (thanks to LordChaos) out there that works out to be 12070 (amount*500).
