Episode IV – Moon Elf Rising: Guild Battle System

With Episode IV: Moon Elf Rising the Guild Battle system receives an overhaul, changing the number of match types available and linking it to the Siege Warfare system already in the game.

Guild Battles will provide new player versus player (PvP) encounters outside of the weekly sieges and monthly ArchLord battle, whilst also providing a new way for guilds to improve their guild ranking and help them achieve one of the top three places on the siege signup each week.

There are five different match types available with numerous settings within each match that offer additional variation.

Winning a match earns 5 Victory Points (VP). These are then multiplied by the time period for the match, each 10 minute period counts as one Time Point (TP). The resulting number is the total number of Guild Points (GP) assigned for winning the match and goes towards the Guild’s rank and standing for sieges. The maximum that a guild can win from a point match is 60 Guild Points (5 VP * 12 TP = 60 GP).

Point Match
This type of match is a straight up kill or be killed fight, with both teams working to kill each other as often as possible during the time frame set. For each kill a team earns points depending on the level difference of the killer and killed.

Knockout Match
Similar to the Point Match, the Knockout Match is a straight up record of kills and deaths, scoring one point per kill for a team regardless of the level of the character killed.

The guild with the most kills at the end of the time limit is the winner, if both guilds have the same score then the match is a tie and the Victory Points are shared, two each.

Chief Knockout Match
In this type of match points can only be earned by killing the leader of the opposing guild, each kill is worth one point.

The guild with the most kills at the end of the time limit is the winner, with the number of Victory Points being multiplied by the Time Points to give the Guild Points earned for the match.

Survival Match
A last man standing style of match, with the guilds fighting until only one side remains. The match is divided up into rounds, with the majority of round wins deciding which guild wins the match.

Survival is also the only type of match that allows for more than 10 participants per guild, with the choices being 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 100 people.

Survival Match (1 on 1)
In additional to the normal Survival Match there is a 1 on 1 version, where players are paired off against each other and fight without interference from the rest of the participants. In this variation of Survival the match is divided up into rounds, with one participant per round.

With these great new systems, players are invited to rise to the challenge, compete in Guild Battles and show they are worthy of wielding the power of the ArchLord.
