That is of course why you're here, right? Looking for your cut?'

You say, 'What stories?'

Spanner Scrapsnatcher says 'The lass here told me that she'd be needing me to do some poking around in that temple. Of course being the handsome gentleman that I am and all, I told her that I'd take a look or two. You know a charitable and chivalrous bloke like me would perform such a task for free, but then the Errordite has to go and pry me with stories of riches and... err... a little fame. So, I says, sure... I'll do it since you're begging me and all... now look at us. Deep in the swamp and covered in black monster mucous.'

You say, 'What black monster mucous?'

Spanner Scrapsnatcher says 'I dunno what to tell you. I woke up our first morning here to find all of my gear covered in this nasty slime. Most of the stuff crawled off, but now our goods are ruined. I'll be happy when I can get a nice change of clothes. If you happen into some sporty gnome sized clothing let me know.'

Going Postal (Feerrott to Freeport) (Normal): This quest covers every town in Norrath, as well as some non-town areas. The reward varies (at whim) between 1gp and 12gp, with values in the middle more usual. With a couple of deliveries, low-level characters could get a few platinum easily. Bards with Selo's Accelerando are really in good shape, as some of these routes can be done in only a few minutes. The quest is sponsored by the League of Antonican Bards. Faction hits are League of Antonican Bards, Knights of Truth, and Guards of Qeynos get better, RingofScale and Mayong Mistmoore get worse.

Necromantic Discoveries (Unsolved): You say, 'Hail, Eleann Morkul'

Eleann Morkul says 'Welcome friend, you're a great leap from any sort of civilization. What brings you to this foul place? Are you an adventurer or just a connoisseur of wretched foliage and damp clothing?'

You say, 'I am an adventurer.'

Eleann Morkul says 'Well, I gathered as much, but I try to avoid assumptions. Are you by chance heading to the temple? It seems to be quite a draw for adventurers and academics alike. Though we've yet to witness either group leave the structure once they've entered it.'

You say, 'I am heading to the temple.'

Eleann Morkul says 'Well, take care and prepare for the most horrific of possibilities, my friend. Our trip has been terrifying enough and we've yet to enter the temple itself. I've seen enough from here to confirm some of the rumors that we were sent to investigate.'

You say, 'What rumors?'

Eleann Morkul says 'The Academy sent my colleagues and I to investigate several reports about Tae Ew tribal activity that have found their way to Freeport during the course of the last lunar cycle. The rumors stated that the primitive creatures have made several great discoveries of a necromantic nature in an incredibly short time. I was assigned to gather any artifacts and information that I could uncover. If you should learn more about their magic, please return to me before we leave and you will be rewarded.'

The Crude Bone Altar (Normal): The Thulian High Ritualist drops a Crude Bone Altar. This is a 4-slot container with a combine button. You need to combine the following in it:

1. Tear Encrusted Quill -- Brown lizards near the golem in the pyramid area

2. Black Powdered Incense -- Brown lizards in the Avatar Pyramid.

3. Flesh Bound Tome -- Brown lizards in the temple area

4. Black Ooze Filled Phylactery -- Brown lizards in the temple area.

This will create a Phobonomicon of Thul Tae Ew. You can do one of two things with it. The first choice is to turn it in to Aqaar Aluram in Feerott. This will result in the Medallion of Arcane Scientists. The second choice is to give it to the Living Void in Cazic. He will then despawn and a Horror Construct will spawn in his place. It's tough, but drops some good loot.
