Blood Raid: Matriarch Shyra
(Normal):
Nightmoon stands by Grokui. He says "The Shadowmane leader [Shyra] was once a loyal and determined leader. She was my lover and everything about her was pure. Unfortunately, she has changed. She must be removed from power, and you seem capable of doing so. I can guarantee a handsome reward if you are successful.
This is a raid mission with a limit of 54 players and a time limit of six hours to complete.
Matriarch Shyra conducts her business as usual deep within the Lodge of the Fang. The way to her throne is guarded by many servants and protectors. Slay the weaklings between you and Shyra and find your way to her throne room.
Confront Matriarch Shyra in her throne room and remove her from power.
Task Steps:
-Gain access to the Lodge of the Fang (Stoneroot Falls)
-Defeat Matriarch Shyra
Upon zoning in to the Lodge of the Fang:
Your task 'Matriarch Shyra' has been updated.
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered The Lodge of the Fang.
You are suddenly aware of a presence in your mind. You realize that it has been there from the moment you stepped into this place. It is elusive and dark as it moves through your mind and manipulates the Curse of Blood. You know that this presence is also touched with the curse and knows its power completely. The only thing you can gain from this contact is that the presence is female and her name is Shyra. She leaves your body weak and slow.
You are immediately hit by an unresistable spell, Blood of the Shadowmane. It cannot be dispelled and lasts 15 minutes. The effect depends on how many bosses in the "curse set" you have encountered:
1st: Decrease Str Cap by 25, Decrease Movement by 10%
2nd: Decrease Str Cap by 50, Decrease Movement by 20%
3rd: Decrease Str Cap by 75, Decrease Movement by 30%
4th: Decrease Str Cap by 100, Decrease Movement by 40%
5th: Decrease Str Cap by 125, Decrease Movement by 50%
Matriarch Shyra hits for up to 4,000 and casts Silence of the Great Wuria. As all mobs in her instance, she is factionless. Shyra drops two items at a time and has a chance to drop runes and other minor items along with them.
Upon slaying Matriarch Shyra:
You gained raid experience!
Matriarch Shyra's corpse says 'I have failed you, oh Great Wuria!'
Your task 'Matriarch Shyra' has been updated.
With a slow enlightenment you sense that the curse given to you earlier has just grown stronger. Shyra must have had the curse as well, or something very similar, and it has now been transferred to you. You feel weaker, but you also know that the promise of power has grown. The more you lose now the more dark power you might gain later.
You have improved xxx of Blood y at a cost of 0 ability points.

DoD Level 68 Spell #1: A Rogue's Trust (Normal): This is the first task in a series of five (the end result being your 68th level spell/tome). It begins with Kelliad in the Stoneroot Falls at location 705, -1830 (northeastern part of the zone).
You say, 'Hail, Kelliad'
Kelliad looks around confused before saying, 'Ilsuras? Is that you?"
Kellaid looks closer at you and says, 'You're not Ilsuras. I thought you might have been him. He was one of our trusty scounts and he has been [gone] awhile now and the longer that he is missing the more worried I get.'
You say, 'Gone?'
Kelliad says, 'I'm not sure that I aan [trust you]. Perhaps in tiem I might be able to trust one such as yourself but you have done nothing to allow me to trust you.'
You say, 'You can trust me'
Kelliad says 'I want you to prove that you are what you appear to be. Outside the city of Xill you will find a great scout that goes by the name of Meldrek. Speak with him and he will show you a way into Xill. When you enter Xill, the wall will be protected by guards. Kill them and bring me back 4 of their hearts. Are you willing to [do this job] for me?'
You say, 'I am willing to do this job'
You have been assigned the task 'A Rogue's Trust'.
You have come across a strange being in Kelliad. He does not trust many of his own kind, let alone strangers. You must complete this task to gain his trust.
Seek out Meldrek and ask him about an alternate entrance into Xill 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
Go south along the shore to 210, -1845.
You say, 'Hail, Meldrek'
Meldrek says 'Duck down _____, before you are seen. This area is crawling with drachnids. What can I help you with?'
You say, 'Where is the alternate entrance to Xill?'
Meldrek pauses for a second then turns and says, 'How can I put this, Kelliad has lost touch of reality. I will help you enter Xill but I can't be responsible for you after you enter. Do you [wish to continue] with this adventure?'
You say, 'We wish to continue.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Stoneroot Falls: The City of Xill.
You enter an instanced version of Stoneroot Falls. You appear before Meldrek, who will send you out of the zone if you ask him.
Explore the front gates of Xill 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
If you have a map, it's pretty obvious where this is: To the south and west (as you would head to The Hive).
Lay waste to twenty-five drachnids 0/25 (Stoneroot Falls)
Simple enough: Kill any 25 drachnids in the zone. They come in several classes (including shaman) and are charmable. Some have an AE called Dark Venom Spray, can proc Puncture and Vile Web, and can hit for up to ~1,200 (average of 600). They are "mostly" slowable.
Tear out four drachnid hearts for proof of their deaths 0/4 (Stoneroot Falls)
You'll come across plenty of these. Keep four of them to update the last step in the task.
Return to Kelliad with the drachnid hearts 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
You say, 'Hail, Meldrek'
Meldrek says 'This is as far as I go. When you complete your objective for Kelliad return to me and when you're [ready to go] I will make sure you have a safe return back to Kelliad.'
You say, 'We are ready to go.'
Hand in the four hearts to Kalliad to finish the task. Priest and caster archetypes receive a Pain-Infused Mask. Melee and hybrid archetypes receive a Warped Mask.
You have completed the task for Kelliad. Speak with him to explore the city of Xill further.
Near the gates of Xill at -785, -700 is "a dark mystical chest". This can be opened after you've killed the 25 drachnids and contains one loot item.
Completion of this task leads into the next task in the series, "Scouting the City". Reward: Pain-Suffused Mask
Reward: Warped Mask
Reward: Loose Weave Legs
Reward: Corroded Infantry Boots

DoD Level 68 Spell #2: Scouting the City (Normal): This is the second task in a series of five (the end result being your 68th level spell/tome). It begins with Kelliad in the Stoneroot Falls at location 705, -1830 (northeastern part of the zone).
At the end of the previous task:
Kelliad says 'You have delivered the hearts of the drachnids to me _____. My trust for you grows but you still have much to [prove] to me.'
You say, 'What do I have to prove?'
Kelliad says 'You will need to prove that I can trust you of course. Are you [willing to show me] that I can trust you _____?'
You say, 'I am willing to show you'
Kelliad says 'If you want to help me, I need you to enter the city and do some [reconnaissance] for me.'
You say, 'What reconnaissance?'
Kelliad says 'Yes, it's been awhile since I was behind the city gates myself. If there are any survivors I need to know how many so I can make plans on getting them out. Are you [ready] to move forward with this ______?'
You say, 'I am ready'
You have been assigned the task 'Scouting the City'.
You have earned the trust of Kelliad and he wants you to do reconnaissance into the City of Xill. Your first objective is to sneak into the city and look for any clues of Shiliskin survivors. While you are there you should observe how many drachnids there are in the city. Meet up with Meldrek and he will get you deeper into the city.
Seek out Meldrek and speak to him about an alternate entrance to Xill 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
Head south along the shoreline where you'll find Meldrek ( 210, -1845).
Meldrek says 'I have been keeping an eye on the movements of the drachnids since you left the city. If we cause much more alert we will need to find another entrance into the city. For now this way is still safe. When [you are ready] I'll get you back into the area.'
Your task 'Scouting the City' has been updated.
You say, 'I am ready.'

Drellak is level 73 drachnid, can quad for up to 2,300, flurries, and is partially slowable. At intervals throughout the fight, the room shakes as you see this:
Warlord Drellak loses strength as his health is depleted.
He hits just as hard after these messages, so it's unclear how he's weakened. He will drop a task loot reward and a book Tome of the Deep Waters (task item). Loot the book and keep it for the next update.
Drellak's drops include:
Corroded Soldier's Armguards
Drachnid Champion's Chestplate

You say, 'Hail, Kelliad'
Kelliad says, 'According to this journal you found, there were no survivors... If only our battalion was inside the city when this happened, we could have stopped them. We must stop them! Fist I need you to [search for Illsuras] if you are willing to move forward with this operation.'
You say, 'I will search for Illsuras'
Kelliad says, 'Very well. Quickly now, you must make haste. Speak with Meldrek -- he will be able to guilde you further into the drachnid lair.'
You have been assigned the task 'Building the Disguise'.
You must collect a few materials so that Kelliad can create an illusion for your party. Once you have the drachnid illusion you will be prepared to enter the dangerous city of Xill.

Head south along the shore where you'll find Meldrek at 210, -1845.

DoD Level 68 Spell #4: The Search for Illsuras (Normal): This is the fourth task in a series of five (the end result being your 68th level spell/tome). It begins with Kelliad in the Stoneroot Falls at location 705, -1830 (northeastern part of the zone).
You say, 'Hail, Kelliad'
Kelliad says 'The potion! It worked! Not bad for an old rogue don't ya say _____? Unfortunately I'll only have enough to suspend ye party with it once, so make haste. Once you find yourself behind the city walls you will need to [search the area] for Illsuras.'
You say, 'Search the area?'
Kelliad says 'You've done some solid work up to this point _____. I feel that I can trust you enough to talk about him. Illsuras is a good friend of mine. We joined the Shiliskin Scouts at the same time and had worked together on the same organization. Draygun, the emperor of Illsalin organized our battalion and sent us out to crush an [enemy] that we didn't know anything about.'
You say, 'What enemy?'
You have been assigned the task 'The Search For Ilsuras'.
You must breach the walls of Xill and search for Ilsuras.
Seek out Meldrek to gain information about the drachnid city 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
Head south along the shore where you'll find Meldrek at 210, -1845.
You say, 'Hail, Meldrek'
Meldrek says 'Kelliad told me to be expecting you, _____. We must make haste -- quickly! Do not be alarmed at your appearance once you have entered Xill -- your true form will merely be suspended for a matter of time. You must breach the walls of Xill and find Ilsuras. Move past the front gates and locate the entrance to the inner chambers within the city.'
Your task 'The Search For Ilsuras' has been updated.
The direction to the entry to your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass.
Locate the entrance to the City of Xill 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
Remember where you killed The Chamber Guardian in the previous task? That door is the entrance (-1000, 15, 75).
Seek out Overseer Renok and follow him 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
You'll see Overseer Renok near the zone-in. He will tell you to follow him (you're non-KOS to the zone right now).
Overseer Renok says 'Halt, trooper. Your shift doesn't begin for some time now, where is it that you think you're heading?'
Overseer Renok says 'As memory serves, Commander Hithrav has been expecting you. Follow me.'
He'll start walking away regardless of whether or not you follow him. Once he reaches Commander Hithrav's chamber, this step updates and your disguise drops (making you KOS to everything).
To get to them: Follow the path to the north, to the first "T" intersection, go left (west), follow that path until you see a room on the left (south), go in there and there's another room to the right (west), Commander Hithrav and Overseer Renok are standing right on top of each other.
Kill Commander Hithrav and the Overseer 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
Commander Hithrav says 'Foolish interloper! I shall dine upon you!'
Overseer Renok says 'I shall wear your skin as a prize!'
Hithrav hits for a max ~1,200. Renok is on par with trash as far as difficulty is concerned. They are not overly difficult, however you may wind up with drachnid adds from the other room so be prepared to deal with a few mobs at once.
You have slain Commander Hithrav!
Commander Hithrav's corpse explodes into a green mist of viscous fluids and body parts.
You have slain Overseer Renok!
Overseer Renok's corpse releases its last foul breath before settling to the earth.
Search for Ilsuras 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
You'll have to unlock two doors to get to Ilsuras. The first door is unlocked by clicking on a stone monolith in the underwater room. Directions from the Commander's room:
- Head back out of the room into the corridor and turn left (west).
- You'll notice that you can either go all the way around the arc, west turning north and turning back east, or you can "shortcut" through the center. Be advised that there are a bunch of mobs in that little shortcut.
- If you want to go the safe (long) way, follow the path east and you'll then see a locked door on the left (north) and the path continues straight (east).
- Continue clearing straight until all mobs in the room are dead. Keep in mind that there is quite a bit of trash in here, and the room is entirely underwater.
- There is a monolith in the room (it is labelled on some maps).
- Click on it to unlock the previously mentioned door. BEWARE! 3-4 drachnids will spawn and aggro you as soon as the monolith is clicked. You'll see the emote...
A faint whisper in the distance catches your ear as a sudden sense of urgency washes over you..
A faint humming from the monolith draws you closer.
- Head through the door to find another intersection.
- You can either continue straight (north) or turn right (east).
- Keep going straight until you come to a big gate (it looks like a jail area). Clear everything there.
- In one of the "cells" is what looks like an open chest. Click on this to get the emote "You feel an unexpected gust of wind fill the tunnel."
- From there, turn around and head back south, then go left (east) at the intersection.
- Clear east to the next intersection and turn right (south). Illsuras will be in that room.
In the room are Ilsuras, Prince Drillien and two drachnid protectors. As you step into the room...
Your task 'The Search For Ilsuras' has been updated.
Prince Drillien says 'Ilsuras, Ilsuras.. You weak, pathetic old fool. I lack the patience to deal with you any longer.'
Ilsuras's corpse falls on its back, eyes wide open.
Ilsuras died.
Prince Drillien says 'And who do we have here? Ah yes, the small group of rebels that intend to walk into our home and throw the proverbial wrench into my unimaginably powerful Drachnid army?'
Prince Drillien says 'You have been blinded by the quick work you made of Commander Hithrav -- Haha! Commander indeed. He was nothing but a pawn set in place to draw out potential threats such as yourselves.'
Prince Drillien says 'Iknar and Vrek will be more than happy to escort you to your burial sites, unless that is, you choose to flee like a coward. I have some pressing matters to attend to, so if you will excuse me.'
Protector Vrek hisses as he attacks, bloodlust in his eyes.
Protector Iknar races toward you, glistening venom dripping from his fangs.
Slay Protector Iknar 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
Slay Protector Vrek 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
The two protectors don't seem much more difficult than your typical trash mob. They are both mezzable.
You have slain Protector Iknar!
Protector Iknar's corpse stumbles backward before crumpling into a heap of fluids and limbs.
You have slain Protector Vrek!
Protector Vrek's corpse collapses as its torso splits from its abdomen.
Take Ilsuras' dagger from Prince Drillien's chest 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
Upon the protectors' deaths, "a musty chest" spawns. It contains a task item and one loot item.
Search for a way to activate Drillien's hidden teleport ring 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
Head back to the three way intersection between the Prince's room, Illsuras' room and the path back out. Face to the south, and you'll notice three crystal balls on the wall. If you click the middle crystal ball, the teleportation ring will activate.
Quickly gather within the teleportation stones to exit Xill without a trace 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
Invis yourself and quickly step into the middle of the portal that appears behind you.
Your task 'The Search For Ilsuras' has been updated.

DoD Level 68 Spell #5: The Rage of Kelliad (Normal): This is the final task in a series of five (the end result being your 68th level spell/tome). It begins with Kelliad in the Stoneroot Falls at location 705, -1830 (northeastern part of the zone).
You say, 'Hail, Kelliad'
Kelliad says 'I . . . I can't believe he's gone! I call upon you, _____, to help me [punish] those responsible.'
You say, 'I will punish them'
Kelliad says 'I fear that the wretched leader of the Drachnid army is responsible for this heinous act. Yes, I speak of Prince Drillien himself. If you should choose to [aid] me yet again, you may find yourself amply rewarded.'
You say, 'I will aid you'
Kelliad says 'Wise decision, _____. You are truly one of honor -- return to me with the tyrant's head. Do not fail me.'
You have been assigned the task 'The Rage of Kelliad.'
Prince Drillien, head of the drachnid army that invaded the City of Xill many years ago, was the one who killed Kelliad's friend Ilsuras. Kelliad wants revenge for Ilsuras' death. Enter the City of Xill and kill the powerful drachnid, Prince Drillien.
Seek out Meldrek to gain entrance into the Drachnid city 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
You say, 'Hail, Meldrek'
Meldrek says 'I welcome you back, _____. Unfortunately, your troubles are merely just beginning. I hope that for Kelliad's sake you [emerge victorious] should you choose to surge forward with this daunting task that lies ahead.'
Your task 'The Rage of Kelliad' has been updated.
You say, 'I will emerge victorious'
Meldrek says 'Very well then, _____. Prepare yourself! I will attempt to gather the energy to teleport you back to the hidden teleportation ring. Let me know when you are [ready to proceed].'
You say, 'I am ready to proceed'
Meldrek says 'Be watchful, _____. The drachnid army is ruthless and will destroy you should they unveil your true identity.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Prince's Manor.
Confront Prince Drillien 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
You zone in standing in an open area with a pool of water before you. The Prince can be found by going down a water tunnel to the southeast (your left). There are seven drachnid Royal Protectors to be pulled and killed before you can safely attack the Prince. Fight him at his spawn point to avoid him popping back to full health.
Upon approaching the prince:
Prince Drillien shouts, 'So, it has all come down to this? Ha ha ha. I ensure you mortals, once you witness the true power of the Drachnid empire you will regret the day you were born.'
Kill 1 Prince Drillien 0/1 (Chambers of Xill)
Prince Drillien says 'I will strike you down with haste, infidel.'
Prince Drillien hits for a max ~1,800; single-target rampages; summons; and has a lot of hitpoints. He has a few tricks:
A memblur:
Prince Drillien senses a greater threat and switches targets.
A pet kill (pets will hit themselves for 100k):
Prince Drillien gathers the energy to manipulate the will of the unliving.
You'll also see several other emotes throughout the fight:
Prince Drillien shouts, 'If only I had time to play your games, fools. Lets make this quick, shall we?'
Prince Drillien shouts, 'For a group of lackeys such as yourselves, I am quite impressed. Unfortunately, I grow weary of this nonsense.'
As Prince Drillien begins to falter, you notice an unfamiliar ooze seeping from his underbelly.
The faint sound of dripping poison alerts your attention.
In addition, a few drachnid assailants spawn (but don't seem to aggro).
You have slain Prince Drillien!
You gain party experience!!
Return to Kelliad with the Head of Prince Drillien 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
Hand in the head to Kelliad.
You are a brave adventurer. Although Kelliad is very saddened by the death of Ilsuras, he will no longer wonder where his friend is.
Among possible loot from Prince Drillien:
Beaten Iron Chain Helm
Fungus Lined Cap
Glossy Plate Arms
Ornate Round Toe Boots
Prellius' Ornate Armband
Caster Reward:
Adorned Acolyte Mask
Melee Reward:
Hard Layered Mask
For your spell:
You say, 'Hail, Brother Hidden Path'
Brother Hidden Path says 'Come closer _____ and let me show you what I have found! A transciption of an ancient cave painting of the Ragepaw! It tells of powers both arcane and martial that Jarzarrad has commanded I translate for you. I can only hope that this new found power helps you in your struggles against the drachnid hordes.'

DoD Level 69 Spell #1: The Lost Notebook (Normal): Cicero's Torn Notebook drops off drachnids in Stoneroot Falls. The first page of the text says to return it to Cicero's assistant, named Model XG CVIII, who's in the southeast corner of Corathus Creep (/loc?).
You say, 'Hail, Model XG CVIII'
Model XG CVIII doesn't respond to hails. Hand it the notebook.
Model XG CVIII says 'I-dent-if-ied, Cic-er-o's Note-book. Error. Con-tents missing. Sections one through nine un-accounted for. Current location of sections one through nine e-quals. . . unknown. Cicero's current location equals. . . unknown. Error. Initializing shut down. Click. Whirrr. Clunk.'
Brovil Pallivineg says 'You got Cicero's old clockwork talking again! How'd you do that? That [hunk of rust] hasn't moved or made a sound in over a hundred years.'
Target Brovil to continue the conversation.
You say, 'What hunk of rust?'
Brovil Pallivineg says 'That there is Cicero's clockwork assistant. He took it everywhere with him when he was researching around here. It hasn't worked since the day Cicero [disappeared].'
You say, 'Disappeared?'
Brovil Pallivineg says 'Unfortunately, last we saw of Cicero was over two hundred years ago. He ventured off over the waterfall to the south in pursuit of some spelunking sporali migration or some such nonsense. He never came back, although we did find Cicero's clockwork assistant with its cogs and springs tossed about near the lake of Korlach. It was mostly bound up in a thick web and hasn't really worked ever since. We believe Cicero was killed by the drachnids a long time ago, but we've been unable to organize a search party to verify anything. If you can [recover] Cicero's notebook pages, we would reward you as best we can. I'd hate to see Cicero's last great work disappear in this darkness.'
You say, 'I will recover the pages.'
Brovil Pallivineg says 'Many thanks ______. It will be most welcome to finally know more about poor Cicero's end. See if you can find any trace of Cicero's pages in the drachnid hive. Take any that you find and place them back in his notebook here. If you lose the notebook let me know and I'll see if I can come up with [another] copy for you.'
At this point, Brovil offers you the shared task The Lost Notebook (normal or hard version) if you are in a group. I believe you can bypass much of this text and simply say the last line to Brovil to get the mission. Apparently, Brovil hands you Cicero's Notebook, a ten-slot container, when you accept the mission. If you lose or destroy the container, you can say "Another" to Brovil to get one back. I said "Another" to him without having accepted the mission, and he told me:
Brovil Pallivineg says 'I'm sorry, I only have a limited supply of these copies of Cicero's notebook. I can only give them out to someone who is helping to recover the missing pages.'
(Task text needed; dialogues needed. The following is an overview.)
You will zone into The Hive (Instanced Version)
The zone-in for this mission is in Stoneroot Falls.
Kill the monsters throughout the zone for the items you need (we got all of ours clearing the top level spiders as well as spiders just inside the 2 obelisks). On a semi-rare basis they will drop portions of a notebook. You need to collect all nine pieces to complete the mission. The mission is successful on looting of the 9th and final section.
You can then optionally combine the sections in the Notebook to produce Cicero's Reassembled Notebook.
There are no respawns in this instance and the mobs do not summon (ie, they can be kited).

Elder Longshadow #1: Freeing an Elder (Incomplete): Shadowalker Dustspirit may be found at -685, 850.
You say, 'Hail, Shadowalker Dustspirit'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'Something strange is going on. Elder Longshadow has been captured and will likely be enslaved by the evil in our lands like the rest of my clan -- even those who willingly chose to be slaves. I feel a strong presence from you. Would you seek to [aid] our cause?'
You say, 'I will aid you.'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'I knew the prophecies would hold true. They speak of outsiders coming to us in our moment of need. Yes, Elder Longshadow is the leader of this small Shadowmane resistance we have against the dark figure that has been placing a shadow upon our lands and enslaving my kind. Many Shadowmanes chose to serve the dark figure, but we saw the flaw in their quest for power. We will not join the bestial, uncivilized Ragepaws though. You must help find our elder and where she has been taken and free her. Take her this note so she knows you for a true friend.
You have been assigned the task 'Freeing an Elder'.
You receive Dustspirit's Note.
Zone in The Hive (Instance). The Zone-In is located in the Drachnid area of Stoneroot Falls.
It seems as though Elder Longshadow has been held prisoner here for some time. See if you can slip him [sic] the note from Dustspirit, as he may be wary of your motives.
Clear your way to the second tower. Elder Ritualist Longshadow will be found inside the tower and up one floor.
Hand her the note.
This will cause Taskmaster Shadowspin to spawn at a campfire a short distance in front of the tower.
Kill Taskmaster Shadowspin (level 72). Several "an enslaved corpse" will spawn during the fight. They cannot be mezzed or snared but can be aggro kited.
The Taskmaster suddenly leaps into the air and lands several feet away and renews his attack.
Taskmaster Shadowspin says 'I control my slaves even after death! Rise, servant, and destroy these intruders!'
Rocks fly into the air as a corpse rises from the ground to do the Taskmaster's bidding.
Taskmaster Shadowspin will have a Drachid Shackle Key and an item of loot. Loot the Drachnid Shackle Key and take it back to Longshadow in order to complete the task.
Now that Longshadow has been freed, return to Dustspirit and give her the good news. There must be something bigger behind this kidnapping - we must find out what the drachnids are up to!

Shadowalker Dustspirit may be found at -685, 850.
Shadowwalker Dustspirit says 'Hello. We have received word back from Elder Longshadow. Thank you again for your efforts. She also mentioned that you may be [needed] once again.'
You say, 'How am I needed?'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'Before Longshadow was captured she was on her way to investigate reports that the drachnids have stumbled across something very powerful. If we find out enough information regarding this device we may have a chance of surviving the death that is prophesized in the [visions] of the Elders.'
You say, 'What visions?'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'The tribal Elders have seen visions of a great war brewing, not unlike the War of the West Tunnels when the werewolves of Darkhollow engaged in civil war and formed two clans. I fear however that this war would cost us far greater a toll. Please go now and locate the drachnid camp that Longshadow was investigating. I pray we have not taken too long already.'
You have been assigned the task 'The Orb of Subversion'.
Zone into the Hive through the instanced zone-in. Invis to the living bridge and move to the fourth (westmost) hive. Use track to be sure what section the Drachnid Poisonmaster is in. Invis to the bottom of that building and clear it all the way to the top.
Kill the Drachnid Poisonmaster, who randomly teleports and summons.
Drachnid Poisonmaster shouts 'You shall not defeat me! I still have the strength to teleport to safety! I suggest you do not follow, my traps are deadly!'
Just follow your party's pets to relocate him fast after he teleports. The traps that the Poisonmaster sets are Blinding Ash and Venomous Fog. The Poisonmaster himself casts Woven Ire.
Towards the end of the fight he will teleport out onto the living bridges.
Drachnid Poisonmaster will drop one item of loot and the Orb of Subversion.

Elder Longshadow #3: A Plea for Help (Normal): Also known as Cold Resist #3, with eventual reward Fractured Temporal Plate
This task follows the second Elder task given by Shadowalker Dustspirit. Shadowalker Dustspirit may be found at -685, 850.
You say, 'Hail, Shadowalker Dustspirit'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'Your time among us has shown your courage. It is that courage that I must ask for again. We have been blessed with a vision that shows it is now time for us to make our next [move] against the drachnids.'
You say, 'What move?'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'We have reason to believe that there is a lot more in the shadows than we can see. From the recent visions we have reason to believe that now is the time for us to find out what the drachnids do with magic and power. With luck, we may even find a way to stop them from overrunning our lands once again. Go out now, speak to Spiritualist Ryianna and let her guide you the rest of the way.'
You have been assigned the task 'A Plea for Help (Hard)'.
Speak with Spiritualist Ryianna (0/1) - Stoneroot Falls
Spiritualist Ryianna stands nearby.
You say, 'Hail, Spiritualist Ryianna'
Spiritualist Ryianna says, 'Ah, frrriend. I have had some disturrrbing revelations while studying this orrrb. Even so, I cannot decipherrr it all. I believe it to be very dangerous. You must speak to Bloodeye of the Ragepaw, for I fearrr we will not be able to do this alone. I have wrrapped the orrb in a binding cloth to try and currrb its negative enerrrgy, but you must act quickly. I fearr that Bloodeye will not tolerrrate inruderrrs. You may need to slay his own to gain rrrespect enough to enter his hall. May Wuria watch over you.'
You receive Enshrouded Orb of Subversion.
Travel to the entrance to Snarlstone Dens (0/1) - Undershore
The instance zone-in is the same as the Bloodeye raid (both the entrance and the zone itself).
The entrance is a door in the Ragepaw area of Undershore. Zone in.
Kill 20 Ragepaws (0/20) - Snarlstone Dens
All ragepaws in the zone count. There are random named scattered in the zone that hit for up to 1500 but don't drop any special loot. Random mobs see through invis; they tend to be the brown colored ragepaws.
Deliver 1 Enshrouded Orb of Subversion to Bloodeye (0/1) - Snarlstone Dens
Quickly, show the enshrouded orb to Bloodeye. Though a warrior and lacking the mysticism of Ryannia (sic), such an implement of power is undeniable. What effects does this orb have on those near it? You must garner his aid!
Bloodeye is in his throne room in the far northwest corner of the zone. Clear to Bloodeye. He does not aggro or assist the Ragepaws near him. Give him the Orb. At this point, an ornate chest in front of Bloodeye becomes openable.
Speak with Spiritualist Ryianna (0/1) - Stoneroot Falls
You say, 'Hail, Spiritualist Ryianna'
Spiritualist Ryianna says 'Much grrratitude. I fearr we may be pawns of some sorrrt but I still cannot yet see frrrom which direction the dangerrr comes. It makes me verrry uneasy my frrriend.'
I never imagined a day when our small sect would need the help of the Ragepaw, but I am grateful that you were able to deliver our message. You are a true friend.

Elder Longshadow #4: Trailing Longshadow (Normal): This task follows the third Elder task given by Shadowalker Dustspirit.
Shadowalker Dustspirit may be found at -685, 850.
You say, 'Hail, Shadowalker Dustspirit'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'Greetings ______, it is good to see you again. Your efforts with the Ragepaws have seen some success. They have agreed to meet with us again to discuss matters. However, there has been some [unrest] amongst the pack lately.'
You say, 'What unrest?'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says, 'Elder Ritualist Longshadow has been acting oddly of late. Some of the pack has become suspicious of her and are wondering about her devotion to our cause. To help quell their fears I had sent one of our scouts to follow her. He followed the Elder to the mushroom forest, but ran into some [trouble].'
You say, 'What trouble?'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'He was ambushed by a small group of drachnids. While he was able to fend them off they were able to injure him to the point that he is no longer able to effectively trail the Elder. If you are [willing] I would like to have you take over for him and keep an eye on the Elder while she is away from the pack.'
You say, 'I am willing.'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'You truly are a worthy friend. Please speak with Scout Whiteclaw for more information on where to find Elder Ritualist Longshadow. Please hurry though, we wouldn't want to lose her while we delay.'
You have been assigned the task 'Trailing Longshadow'.
Need description.
Scout Whiteclaw stands a few feet away from Shadowalker Dustspirit.
You say, 'Hail, Scout Whiteclaw'
Scout Whiteclaw says 'Welcome pack friend. I see Dustspirit has chosen you to continue my work. I would have continued following Elder Ritualist Longshadow, but I am not able to do so with my injuries. I can [show you] to her current location though.'
You say, 'Show me.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered The Undershore (Instance).
You are standing at the zone-in spot from Corathus Creep. Elder Ritualist Longshadow stands a short distance to the south, on the other side of the waterfall. "Trash" Mobs in the instance con higher level than in normal Undershore.
Follow her when she starts to move a couple of minutes later...
Elder Ritualist Longshadow says "I must be on my way, they may get suspicious if I'm gone for much longer".
Be invisible so as to avoid aggro from other mobs in the zone.
Get neither too close nor too far away.
If you do get too close the mission will abort:
Elder Ritualist Longshadow tries to tear out your throat.
Elder Ritualist Longshadow growls at you and curses beneath her breath. 'Stupid lackeys! Who are you to follow such as me? My loyalty is beyond question and outsiders of questionable allegiance such as yourselves would do well to remember that. Now leave me and do not trouble me again!'
Your shared task, 'Trailing Longshadow (Hard/Normal)', has ended.
Periodically Elder Ritualist Longshadow will stop, at which point between two and four Drachnid Assailants (usually three) will attack you. Elder Ritualist Longshadow will not start walking again until the last Drachnid is dead, so keep one mezzed if you need a med break.
Part of your journey (center of zone) will pass through an area with undead, so be ready with IVU.
During the journey, you will overhear Longshadow...
Elder Ritualist Longshadow says 'Yes, once I get back it will be time to begin turning them against each other. Perhaps if the annihilate themselves others will not be so quick to follow'.
Elder Ritualist Longshadow says 'I'll need to drag the Ragepaws further into this soon though. They did seem interested in helping bring their cousins out from under the thumb of the master'.
Elder Ritualist Longshadow says 'That would work out very well. I'll send them to look for another. If they find one I can move forward with the plan, and if not. . .well, at least the Hive will eat well.'
When Elder Ritualist Longshadow reaches the zone to Stoneroot Falls, she meets with a level 71 Drachnid Informant.
Elder Ritualist Longshadow nods to the informant, 'The plan has been going perfectly. The orb has been placed with the leaders of the faction and should beginning its effects as we speak. The Ragepaws have been contacted and we may be able to take care of them as well in this same effort.'
a drachnid informant says 'Are you stupid or just blind? You've been followed you fool! I will have to hear the rest of your report later. For now, return to the pack and continue as planned. I will take care of these intruders.'
Slay the Informant! The informant must not be allowed to continue helping Longshadow destroy the pack.

Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'It's good you've returned to us. Elder Ritualist Longshadow was here not long ago and in an unusual rush. She's normally very calm and collected, but this time was muttering to herself and only paused to ask where the orb was. After your latest findings I only wish we had stopped her before she left. If my suspicions are correct our cause could be in [dire straights].'
You say, 'What dire straights?' [sic]
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'While you were trailing Longshadow several of the pack began to act strangely. They began to suggest and even demand that we rejoin the rest of the Shadowmane pack. Those who were the most vehement about this were the ones assigned to study the orb. It is my suspicion that the orb was slowly subverting my pack and would have been the end of us had Longshadow not taken it when she left for the [den].'
You say, 'Den?'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'After taking the orb Longshadow left for the Ragepaw den. The reports from our scouts say that she claimed to be one of our ambassadors and was allowed entrance into the den. Shortly after she entered a large number of drachnids attacked the den and disappeared inside. Nothing more has happened outside the den since then, and we have grown concerned for our cousins. After the work you have been doing for us we would like to ask for your [help] one last time.'
You have been assigned the task 'Confronting a Traitor (Hard)'
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'The pack would be in dire straights without you ______. We need you to venture into the Ragepaw den and discover what is going on. Do all that you can to return things to normal and bring that accursed orb back to be destroyed.'
Task step: Enter the Ragepaw den
The instance entrance is a door in the Ragepaw area of Undershore. Click to zone into Snarlstone Dens.
Task step: Find the orb
There are three side rooms in the dens. One of these has a chest with the orb. It is guarded by two red unmezzalbe drachnid guardians.
Task step: Find and confront Elder Ritualist Longshadow
Elder Ritualist Longshadow shouts 'You are persistent, I'll say that much. Your reward shall be death, of course, just as it was for the dogs that once controlled this place. You now know my true form and eventually will deduce my intent. Your corpses shall host my children.'
Elder Ritualist Longshadow now transforms into a drachnid.
Task step: Kill 1 Elder Ritualist Longshadow
During the fight at various times he will teleport to each of the side rooms in the den. So make sure you have cleared all the spiders in those rooms and along the path before engaging him. Run him down.
He will drop loot.
With Longshadow dead and the orb in your possession the danger has passed for Dustspirit's pack. Return the orb to Dustspirit so they may insure this particular trouble does not return to haunt them.
Task step: (Opt) Return the orb to Shadowalker Dustspirit
Shadowalker Dustspirit says 'This is terrible news. At least the imposter has been slain and will not cause further harm. I can only hope that the real Longshadow met a quick end. The drachnids are skilled at dragging out a death. Regardless, I will see this orb destroyed as soon as possible. It will no longer be able to influence any of my pack.'

Infiltrating the Hive (Incomplete): Find Illusionist Zimix in the Stoneroot Falls (loc?) in the northeast part of the zone.
You say, 'Hail, Illusionist Zimix'
Illusionist Zimix says 'Keep your voices down, I can't have anyone seeing me speak with the likes of you. Although it is possible you have enough courage to face a [task] that none of my own people are willing to help me with.'
You say, 'What task?'
Illusionist Zimix says 'I have been working on developing my own network of informants, along with tapping into the resources of others. During the course of this I have come across intriguing [information].'
You say, 'What information?'
Illusionist Zimix says 'Apparently there is drachnid known as Vilsrin who trains the elite guards that protect the drachnids' master. One such as that would undoubtedly have information regarding that master and possibly could be tricked into revealing a weakness. This is where my latest [enchantments] come in.'
You say, 'What enchantments?'
Illusionist Zimix says 'I've developed a powerful enchantment that will allow a transformation into a drachnid form while inside the drachnids' lair. Of course, should the drachnids discover the enchantment there would be a great deal of trouble. This is why I have been having trouble finding someone to [take part] in investigating Vilsrin.'
You say, 'I will take part.'
Illusionist Zimix says 'Hmmm. I don't know that my enchantment will be as effective on those not of shiliskin blood, but I am [willing to try]. Keep in mind that the drachnids are very intelligent creatures and for all I know Vilsrin could be their master. If he is, you could very quickly be taken prisoner or killed.'
You say, 'I am willing to try.'
Illusionist Zimix says 'Give me a moment to prepare the enchantments for you. They will not take effect until you enter the lair, so be careful sneaking in so none of them see the change.'
You have been assigned the task 'Infiltrating the Hive'.
In this monster mission you play a drachnid. You can choose from cleric, warrior, wizard, enchanter, rogue, and necromancer.
Sneak into the hive where none of the drachnids can see the enchantment take effect 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
Remember that you can't be seen when the enchantment takes effect, it would spoil the entire effect.
This step updates when you zone in.
Search out Vilsrin and see what information you can gather from him 0/1 (The Hive)
See what you can find about Vilsrin, the drachnids, and most importantly their master. Any information could potentially be critical in our fight for survival.
Find Vilsrin, the Cryptweaver, in the last nest (at the entrance to Dreadspire Keep)
You say, 'Hail, Vilsrin, the Cryptweaver'
Vilsrin, the Cryptweaver says 'What do you want slime? Unless you're here for [training] you'd best be on your way.'
You say, 'I'm here for training'
Vilsrin, the Cryptweaver says 'I only train the most capable of our kind to serve the [master] directly. I don't know that you look like the type to be able to stand up to the sort of regimen I would put you through. You'd best be on your way pests.'
You say, 'Master?'
Vilsrin, the Cryptweaver says 'You don't know about the master? What sort of. . .' Vilsrin's eyes narrow for a moment, 'Perhaps you don't. . .'
Vilsrin, the Cryptweaver says 'Your ruse is finished! You honestly believed you could come in here and attempt to fool me in my own domain? You will soon see the error in that line of thinking. The hive will soon be alerted to your presence and there will be no escape. You three, keep these intruders busy until I return. If they die, so be it.'
an elite guard trainee calls out for guards as it charges your position.
Your task 'Infiltrating the Hive' has been updated.
a drachnid champion says 'Foolish interloper! I shall dine upon you!'
All the mobs around you attack (depending how far apart your party stands). Kill the adds and Vilsrin and move on. The named mobs in the zone hit for up to 5500, flurry, rampage, enrage, and see through rogue SOS.

Korlach Leviathan #1: The Search for Coral (Normal): Widdlethorpe Gemfinder may be found at -65, -1200.
You say, 'Hail, Widdlethorpe Gemfinder'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'It's about time someone came looking for me! Were you sent here by the crew of expedition 328? I have been out here a long time now. Look ______, even my Gnomish time teller doesn't want to tell time anymore. I have found some [important information] and I can't wait any longer for the 328 crew to get in place here to research further.'
You say, 'What important information?'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'We dug into something deep when we landed here. Once we landed, a few of us set out to explore the lands. I've come to believe that there is [something bigger] out there that hasn't hit this place yet.'
You say, 'Something bigger?'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'Yes something evil as well. I have learned that there have been wars going on for the past many years in these lands. I get the feeling that one side is only playing with the other. They are torturing them as they die off slowly while this force grows stronger to do much more damage elsewhere. We can't wait for the rest of the expedition crew to get here. We need to [find more evidence] to back my theory up.'
You say, 'Find more evidence?'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'Yes ______. I don't have direct evidence of anything other that what I have learned. The evidence we seek will help prevent what I think is going to happen in the future. Do you [wish to help] me uncover what has happened? It could save Norrath.'
You say, 'I wish to help.'
You have been assigned the task 'The Search for Coral'.
Many years ago, Shiliskin Deathshed Priests discovered local coral that fueled their incantations and augmented their rituals. It is said that they went into the lair of the giant Korlach and lulled him under their power and used him as the defender of Illsalin. Collect some samples of the coral that the priests used to fuel their incantations so we can study it.
Find an entrance to Korlach's lair (0/1) - Stoneroot Falls
The zone is underwater in the north of Stoneroot Falls. The instance "Lair of the Korlach" consists primarily of underwater tunnels. There are traps and random see-invis mobs.
Search for the priests that hold the power of control. (0/1) - Lair of the Korlach
The priests are located in a dry cavern. Travel north until you get to a water cavern with two exits to the north. Take the left path. This is updated when you enter the tunnel to the room containing the chest and High Priest Trelikin.
Your Location is 1228.66, 202.29, 64.01
Weaken the priests by removing their guards. (0/6) - Lair of the Korlach
Guards called "a drained deathshed protector" hit for 800 with full defensive AAs, and have a 1.5k DD proc.
Once you have killed the six guards, High Priest Trelikin and the two a shiliskin deathshed priest standing with him activate. Killing the High Priest completes this stage.
The boss mob High Priest Trelikin spawns 4 additional mobs for every 25% health lost. - when this happens the room shakes and there is an emote:
The Dark Mystical Chest glows as High Priest Trelikin draws power from it to resurrect the fallen.
Overcome the power of the priests by ending their ceremony (0/1) - Lair of the Korlach
The boss mob High Priest Trelikin spawns 4 additional mobs for every 25% health lost. The adds are mezzable. High Priest Trelikin will heal himself but won't spawn anything extra if he heals past (say) 50% and is then damaged back to 50%. When the boss dies, all of the spawned NPCs remain and go back to the room with the dark mystical chest.
Gather the samples of the coral from the chest (0/1) - Lair of the Korlach
This updates when you loot Enchanted Corathus Coral from the chest.
Targeted (NPC): a dark mystical chest
Right click on the NPC to consider it.

Before we can fully understand the potential, we should [practice on something smaller]. If things go wrong it could mean the end for us.'
You say, 'We will practice on something smaller'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'I believe it's important that we try it on a Korlach. I want you to explore into the Korlach's lair and attempt to lull a young Korlach into obeying you. It will be dangerous though. Are you up for this [adventure]?'

You say, 'What does it mean?'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'It means that the water in his lair could be connected to a large body of water on Norrath. Every good gnome researcher has seen water like this before from the bottom of Lake Rathetear. If that is true the possibilities of the Korlach being used elsewhere... Holy Sprockets ____! We need to [prevent] what could be a massive destruction elsewhere.'
You say, 'How can we prevent it?'
Widdlethorpe Gemfinder says 'If someone has control of the Korlach's mind, they could mount an attack using him. The devastation that he has caused here would be seen elsewhere. Sabotage! (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Calisar'
Calisar says 'Were you sent by the priests?' he glares suspiciously at you, 'I think not, but no matter. I have important work to do and you look like the sort of person I wouldn't feel bad about sacrif. . .having help in my [work].'
You say, 'What work?'
Calisar says 'Our priests have been developing a magical dampening stone designed to weaken the spells and enchantments used by the drachnids. Unfortunately these stones are currently only effective if they can be placed at the [source] of the drachnid magic.'
You say, 'Where is the source?'
Calisar says 'The stones that I have at the moment need to be placed in the summoning altars of the drachnids. Those altars are used to summon the throngs of expendable drachnids that are sent into battle as fodder. If we can weaken those forces enough, the drachnids may have to rethink their tactics. If you think you could [accomplish] this, I'll give you a few stones to plant.'
You say, 'I think I can accomplish this.'
Calisar says 'I can give you four dampening stones to start with. Make sure you get them placed correctly. If you lose any let me know and I'll see if I can find [more] for you.'

Sabotage! 6:00:00
Sabotage! (Hard) 6:00:00
Speak with Sintal nearby. He should have a bit more information for you regarding the summoning altars, and may be able to help you sneak into the Hive.
This task begins in Stoneroot Falls
You say, 'Hail, Sintal'
Sintal says 'Hmph, Calisar said he was sending help, but I didn't think he'd send one of your ilk. Very well then, let us get down to business. The summoning altars are rumored to be kept in the four sections of the hive buried in the cavern wall. You would do well to start your search there. I can help you [enter] the hive, but I must not be revealed to the drachnids.'
Your task 'Sabotage!' has been updated.
You say, 'Help us enter'
Sintal says 'I have been able to develop a teleportation spell that allows me to reach the bridges outside the cavern wall of the hive. I can take you each up there individually and help you return again once you've completed your work. Let me know when you are each [ready] and I will transport you.'
You say, 'We are ready'
Sintal says 'Keep your guard up when you arrive. You never know what could be waiting for you there.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered The Hive.
Find Sintal inside The Hive.
You say, 'Hail, Sintal'
Sintal says 'Ready to run away, eh? Well I can't say that I'm surprised. I don't think anyone deserves to be captured by the drachnids so I can help you [leave] whenever you're ready.'
During the mission you will see the following emote every two or three minutes:
A low chanting can be heard for just a moment before suddenly going silent.
When this emote goes off, a summoned minion spawns on top of one of the four altars. Undead minions may also spawn, and see invisibility. Drachnid Ritualists guard each of the altars.
Place the four stones on the four altars (locations and descriptions needed) and find Sintal again..
A chest spawns right in front of Sintal. Among the loot you may find in it:

At any rate thank you for your help with this, there should be a drastic effect on the drachnid armies because of this. Here's payment for your services, take it and let me know when you're ready and I'll take you all [out of here].'
You say, 'Get us out of here'
Your task 'Sabotage!' has been updated.

The Accursed Book (Incomplete): This group monster mission begins with Fihtzen in the Stoneroot Falls (location?) in the norheast part of the zone.
You say, 'Hail, Fihtzen'
Fihtzen says 'Ah, you are one who walks in the light. My kind are wary of you newcomers. They have never been very tolerant and have been less so since the fall of [Illsalin].'
You say, 'What is Illsalin?'
Fihtzen says 'Illsalin fell to the treachery of the drachnids many years ago. I suppose it's not fair to say it fell to them, since they never had control of the city, but the city is no longer in the hands of my people either. As you may know it is now the residence of the [undead].'
You say, 'What undead?'
Fihtzen says 'Many years ago, during the War of the Four Crests, the art of necromancy saw a sharp rise in use. This came about due to the efforts and advice of a sage known as Bodrak. He was a charismatic shiliskin and quickly gained the ear of Emperor Draygun. He offered the emperor his [advice] and knowledge.'
You say, 'What was his advice?'
Fihtzen says 'Bodrak championed the cause of learning the necromantic magic of the drachnids and then using it against them. Draygun followed this advice and began to study necromancy intensely. To further this cause he founded a school dedicated to teaching and researching drachnid necromancy. It was shortly after this that Bodrak [disappeared].'
You say, 'He disappeared?'
Fihtzen says 'He didn't exactly disappear, we discovered his skin in a crumpled pile along the shore of the lake. The common belief is that he was assassinated by drachnids who left his skin as a sign of his death, though I have begun to suspect this interpretation of the events is wrong and I'm developing my own [theory].'
You say, 'What is your theory?'
Fihtzen says 'In order to understand my theory you must first hear more of the history of my race. It was shortly after Bodrak's disappearance that the unthinkable happened. Our priests somehow lost control of the Korlach leviathan in the lake and it turned its wrath upon our [stronghold] of Illsalin.'
You say, 'What stronghold?'
Fihtzen says 'During its rampage, the Korlach destroyed large sections of the city and caused irreparable damage to the defenses. The drachnid forces must have been watching this because it was that moment they chose to attack. Seeing the tide of drachnids flowing towards the city, Draygun turned to his [last resort].'
You say, 'What was his last resort?'
Fihtzen says 'Several years earlier one of our raids on the drachnid hive had yielded a powerful spell book, called Shadow Spine. The book was magically bound and so had not been opened at the time of the drachnid attack. Draygun focused his power on the book and managed to open it. The moment the book opened the city was [changed].'
You say, 'How was it changed?'
Fihtzen says 'Opening the book apparently triggered a massive curse. It doomed all of the beings in the city to a life of undeath. Draygun, through his power as a necromancer, was able to raise himself up as lich and took control of the city and the undead within. This is what is known. What I am interested in currently is the [origin] of Shadow Spine.'
You say, 'The origin?'
Fihtzen says 'It is my theory that the raiders who obtained the book knew more about its origins than we realized. I have since acquired samples of deathshed mushrooms that grow upon the graves of these raiders. Using the magic of these mushrooms, I hope to be able to look back through time and watch the raiders in their attack on the Hive. If you are [interested], I have enough to allow others a glimpse as well.'
You say, 'I am interested.'
Fihtzen says 'Allow me a few moments to prepare the flowers. When you are [ready] to begin let me know. I warn you though, this experience may be disorienting and is by no means safe.'
You have been assigned the task 'The Accursed Book'.
You play a Shiliskin, and have class choices of Cleric, Warrior, and Wizard.
Sneak into the hive through the hidden cave 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)
You'll be told to say 'ready' to Fihtzen, but this step updates when you zone in manually (it'll be marked on your compass -- near the regular Hive entrance).
Search for the summoning chamber 0/1 (The Hive)
The raiders claimed they obtained the book from a necromancer inside the hive. If the stories hold true, he was attempting to raise a large amount of undead for an assault on the shiliskin people. Search out this necromancer, but be wary of any minions he may have already summoned.
The summoning chamber is located in the first building you come upon. Go upstairs. You'll have to clear his room of normal mobs before speaking with him.
Kalthis, the Betrayer says 'Welcome to my chambers foolish raiders. Please come into my room and speak with me for a time. I so rarely get visitors that I would enjoy the conversation before I kill you. For the moment it's perfectly safe for you to enter, my friends here won't harm you unless ordered to do so.'
Slay Kalthis and his minions 0/1 (The Hive)
This must be the necromancer! Destroy him and his minions before he can create more.
You say, 'Hail, Kalthis, the Betrayer'
Kalthis, the Betrayer says 'Greetings pathetic shiliskin. Your people must be thinking highly of themselves to send a raiding party this deep into our lair. Do you truly think you have any [chance] of escaping here with your life?'
You say, 'We've got a chance'
Kalthis, the Betrayer says 'We shall see. For now let us see what sort of amusement you can provide me. Are you even strong enough to defeat my weakest minions?'
(More dialogues; information needed.)
