Chief Kalan says 'There are many creatures that would prey on my people if it were not for the dedication of our warriors. The Bulthar and Ulthork often invade our territory and prey on our shellfish collectors. They are wasteful creatures and take more than they could possibly eat from the sacred seas.

You say, 'who are the bulthar'

Chief Kalan says 'The Bulthar are sea elephant people. They are strong brutes with the intelligence of a clam. There is no reasoning with the savages since they seem to only understand their territorial instincts. There is a small herd of them that has taken up residence on the rocky beach beneath the lonely tower and have already injured many of our shellfish collectors. I will reward you for the trunks of every two brutes that you slay.

Turning in the trunks you get from regular bulthar will get you a random item, usually a gem. Occasionally, the herd leader will spawn. If you turn in 2 trunks of f of the herdleader, you will get the Runed Othmir Spear. Reward: Runed Othmir Spear

Crustacean Shell Armor (Unsolved): Qarrgy Scallopgobbler sets down several large crustacean shells covered in foreign runes, then extends his large, coarse hands in a gesture of friendship. 'I am pleased to see friendly visitors to our villages. I am the head craftsman of the village. The crustacean shell armor worn by the warriors of our village was crafted by me and by my apprentices. I will craft other materials as well when they are available.'

Qarrgy Scallopgobbler says 'It takes awhile to make each piece. It has to go through a long burning process to clean away all old meat and dirt. Then it needs shaping and etching with runes.

You say, 'what burning process'

Qarrgy Scallopgobbler says 'Usually I use a mixture made from the livers of barraccudas. Their liquids are very strong and make good burning liquid. If you want some you need to bring me two barraccuda livers.

The reward when you turn in the livers is a vial of acid. It may be that there is a way to use this to make the armor yourself.

Emerald Dragon Scales drop from Wuoshi in the Wakening Land. Ulthork Tusks drop from various ulthorks in Siren's Grotto and Eastern Wastes. The unstained Fine Plate Breastplate is crafted. Hand in the three items:

Lodizal Shell Shield (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Bungre Crawcrusher'

Bungre Crawcrusher says 'What manner of creature are you, strange one? I can see that you are not native to any nearby territories. Your thin flesh and lack of hair would mean certain death when the ice queen breathes upon these seas.

You say, 'What about lodizal?'

Bungre Crawcrusher says 'Lodizal is a giant carnivorous sea turtle that roams the iceclad ocean preying primarily on the Snowfang gnolls. The Snowfang gnolls are not trusted by we Othmir as they survive on the skins and meat of walrus and otter but Lodizal is a threat to all coastal dwellers. Should Lodizal ever be slain I would be willing to craft a shield from his shell and adorn it with Othmir runes. I would charge ten thousand gold for the service.'

The shell drops from Lodizal in the Iceclad ocean. Bring it back along with the gold.

Bungre Crawcrusher skillfully crafts the section of Lodizal's shell into the shape of a shield. He then attaches sturdy cured walrus hide leather straps to the inner side of the shield and inscribes intricate glowing runes on the shield's face. When he is finished, he hands you the shield and claps loudly.

Saucy Salted Seadragon Steak (Normal): This quest begins with Bloogy Shellcracker in Cobalt Scar (location 187.25, -1507.34, 77.76 on upper edge of coast).

You say, 'Hail, Bloogy Shellcracker'

Bloogy Shellcracker says, 'Hello, strange one. I am Bloogy Shellcracker, the preparer of meals for my people. I am not familiar with the culinary tastes of your kind but you are welcome to purchase some of my supplies. I will also barter for ingredients to some of my exotic dishes.'

You say, 'What ingredients?'

Bloogy Shellcracker says 'The rarest treat I can prepare for my people is saucy salted seadragon steak. I wish to barter for some water dragon or sea dragon meat, saltwater seaweed, and fish eggs. The rest of the ingredients are collected locally by our collectors.

You need one Sea Dragon Meat. It can drop off either Kelorek'dar (Faydedar clone in Cobalt Scar ocean) or Faydedar in Timorous Deep. A Water Dragon Meat (dropped by Kelorek`Dar, Lord Voi`Doken, or Faydedar) will also suffice.

Saltwater seaweed is fished in Ocean of Tears or Timorous Deep. You need one of these.

Fish eggs are made by combining Thunder Salmon, Greengill Salmon, or Evergreen Salmon and a skinning knife (smithing, level 40) in a tackle box (attainable in PoK). This yields two fish eggs.

Give these four items to Bloogy Shellcracker.

Bloogy Shellcracker says 'It has been many moons since my people have feasted on this rarest of meat. Take this totem crafted in the form of our oceanlord Prexus and inscribed with the runes of our people. may the oceans watch over you, _____'

Our craftsman use the tusks of the slain Ulthork to carve ivory totems of praise to the ocean lord. I will gladly barter for no less than four pairs of Ulthork tusks.

Upon handing in the tusks:
