How to download using Torrents

OK, apparently lots of people can't figure out wtf torrents are and how to get the game using them. Therefor, I decided to make a guide about that.

alright, so with that covered now we will move on to how actually get your game client using this 6 years obsolete and serisouly weird thingy called bittorent.


  • First u need to get a client. There are numerous Torrent clients out there. The most popular ones would be Azureus, BitComet, uTorrent. However, since I use uTorrent and this site recommends it also my guide will be based on this client. U can get it either from here -http://70.85.177.218/uTorrent-1.6-install.exe (ToP Download Link) or by going to official website -http://www.utorrent.com/

  • Now that u got your uTorrent u should install it. (Just double click the setup file you got during step 1) After it is done installing I would seriously recommend u guys to go through the speed guide in order for your uTorrent to configure itself properly.



  • Alright, so after uTorrent client is installed and configure it is time for us to obtain the seed file. To get it, go tohttp://www.talesofpirates.com/download.php and click on either one out of 3 Open Beta Seed Download links and download a small seed file from those links.



  • Step 4. Add that seed to your download queue and start downloading your client. Out of different ways to do it, the easiest one is to double click the file. When u will open a seed u will get following window, jsut make sure that u have the check box for Start Torrent option and click ok.



  • Lastly, after some time will pass and u will finally finish downloading your client, the down/blue arrow will turn into up/green one and u will start seeding (purely uploading). If u don't wish to seed then right click the file and choose stop option. However, now u don't know where your actual client is and how to install the game. Not to worry, all u have to do is just right click the task and choose  Open Containing Folder... option. A new window will pop-up and there u will find the client ready for you to double click and install it.
