Skinning - Primary Skill
Skinning allows you to take the skins and hides of animals after you've killed them. You can use these skills in leathercrafting or tailoring to make various armors and bags. In order to skin a monster you must first kill it and loot it, and then approach it with a Skinning Knife in your pack. Right-click on the corpse to skin it. Generally, only beasts can be skinned.

The type of leather or hide you get from skinning a beast depends on its level and species. Generally, the higher the beast's level, the higher the quality of leather or hide you get.

The level of beasts you can skin depends on your Skinning skill level rather than your adventure experience level. Up to skill level 100, you can only skin beasts whose level is less than or equal to (Your Skinning Skill Level/10) + 10. After that, the formula becomes simpler. Past 100, you can skin beasts whose level is less than or equal to Your Skinning Skill Level / 5.
