Conquest guards of various types can be found all over Vana'diel, each with varying purposes. Conquest guards can cast Signet, give Rank Points in exchange for crystals, assign Supply or Expeditionary Force missions, and even sell you special Nation-specific items in exchange for Conquest points. Examples of the various types of Conquest Guard are below:
City Conquest Guards can be found in Windurst, Bastok, or San d'Oria, and will provide the following services:

1. Casts Signet
2. Explains the Conquest System
3. Accept crystals in exchange for Rank Points toward acepting your next mission
4. Give you, in exchange for varying amounts of Conquest Points, various items
5. Recharge your Empress or Chariot Bands (these increase the amount of experience points you receive for a set amount of time)
6. Assign Supply run quests, which, once completed, allow you to teleport to the outposts in those regions for a set amount of Gil
7. Assign Expeditionary Force quests
8. Characters of a different allegiance than that of the Guard can purchase that nations conquest items in exchange for additional points, assuming your nation is higher than their nation in the Conquest Tally

Consulate Guards reside in their respective consulates in each city and provide the following services:

1. Casts Signet
2. Explains the Conquest System
3. Accept crystals in exchange for Rank Points toward acepting your next mission
4. Give you, in exchange for varying amounts of Conquest Points, various items
5. Recharge your Empress or Chariot Bands (these increase the amount of experience points you receive for a set amount of time)
6. Characters of a different allegiance than that of the Guard can purchase that nations conquest items in exchange for additional points, assuming your nation is higher than their nation in the Conquest Tally

Ducal Guards are the White armoured guards in Jueno, as they are neutral, they will provide the following services to any player:

1. Casts Signet
2. Explains the Conquest System
3. Accept crystals in exchange for Rank Points toward acepting your next mission
4. Give you, in exchange for varying amounts of Conquest Points, various items
5. Recharge your Empress or Chariot Bands (these increase the amount of experience points you receive for a set amount of time)

Outpost guards spawn at outposts in regions under their nation's control and provide the following services:

1. Casts Signet
2. Sets your home point
3. Accepts Supplies from Supply Run Missions
4. Accepts the Garrison item to begin a Garrison of that outpost
5. Recharge your Empress or Chariot Bands (these increase the amount of experience points you receive for a set amount of time)
6. Characters of a different allegiance than that of the Guard can set home pointfor a fee depending on your Rank (higher ranks pay higher fees)

Outland Guards appear in zones under their nation's control as well, but only provide the following services:

1. Casts Signet
2. Sets your home point
3. Accepts Supplies from Supply Run Missions
4. Recharge your Empress or Chariot Bands (these increase the amount of experience points you receive for a set amount of time)
5. Characters of a different allegiance than that of the Guard can set home pointfor a fee depending on your Rank (higher ranks pay higher fees)
