Description Varchet of the Carpenters' Guild has run off again. Find the slacker and get him back to work.
Walkthrough The gambler can be found in South San'doria right outside the residential area exit. He's near the fountain just standing around. Talk to him, and he'll go back to the Carpenters' Guild after you beat him in a game (each game requires an ante of 5 gil). Play until you win, then head back to Aurege for your reward.
