Description A quest to battle the Avatar Shiva
Walkthrough Speak to Gulmama in Northern San d'Oria (at around E-9?) and he will tell you about his encounter with the great Avatar of Ice. He says that the avatar had attacked his party when the Ice Protocrystal was resonated. He asks if you could help him calm this avatar's fury. If you accept, you will recieve the Tuning Fork of Ice.

The road to the Protocrystal is a long one. First you must head through Ranguemont Pass to the Northeast of East Ronfaure. Once through the pass, you must make your way to the Castle Ruins of Fei'Yin in the Northeast portion of the Beaucedine Glacier. Make your way to the basement of Fei'Yin through the pass in G-9, and to the Northwest part of the zone.

When you reach the Cloister of Frost, you will find a giant blue crystal before you. When your group is ready, examine the crystal and one by one your group will be teleported to the Battlefield.

This battle will be extremely tough. A group of level 65's should be able to take it, if balanced correctly. Shiva is Ice, so remember to fit as many Fire Skill Chains as you can in your battle plans. Skill chains are an essential part of this fight.

Once the long, tough battle is over, return to Gulmama. He will give you a choice of the below rewards.

Nothing (A pact with the Avatar. IE:Summon)
