Description Exterminate bats from King Ranperre's Tomb, and bring back proof of your deeds.
Walkthrough PREPARATION
The suggested level for this mission is 8. You will want to obtain a map of King Ranperre's Tomb by completing the short San d’Oria quest, Exit the Gambler. In this quest, Aurege in Northern San d’Oria (F-3) wants you to convince Varchet in Southern San d’Oria (L-6) to come back to work. Varchet will come back to work if you beat him in a gambling game, which costs 5 gil per attempt. After you beat him, return to Aurege to get your map of King Ranperre's Tomb.

MISSION WALKTHROUGH
After accepting the mission, head to East Ronfaure and zone into King Ranperre's Tomb at (H-11). In King Ranperre's Tomb, check the tombstone at (I-10) for a cut scene. When nighttime arrives (18:00-6:00), kill Ding Bats until one drops a handful of Orcish Mail Scales. Once you obtain the scales, return to a gate guard to complete the mission.

*NOTE
This mission is repeatable, but on later completions you will have to turn in a bat fang to a gate guard instead of Orcish Mail Scales. You don’t need to zone between completions of this mission, so it's a fast way to obtain Rank Points for later missions.
