Description An adventurer has been attacked while on an investigation to Xarcabard -- and the attacker is said to be none other than the Dark Knight, Zeid! Report to the President's Office for a briefing on the situation at hand.
Walkthrough PREPARATION
To start, trade 10 stacks of crystals to a gate guard to unlock the mission. This mission consists of a 6-person BCNM, so form a solid party of 70-75 jobs (consider a tank, healer, buffer, and a few damage dealers). This fight can be trioed by a setup of skilled players. Please note that only party members that are on this mission or that have already completed it may enter the battlefield. Since you will be traveling to Castle Zvahl Baileys, consider obtaining a Map of the Zvahl Castle by completing the simple Jeuno quest, Northward.

MISSION WALKTHROUGH
After accepting the mission from a gate guard, speak with Iron Eater in Metalworks (J-8) for a cut scene. You will be sent to the Throne Room in Castle Zvahl Keep, where you previously defeated the Shadow Lord, to confront Zeid.

Make your way to Castle Zvahl Baileys. Once inside, head straight and make a left at the first intersection. Go down the stairs and take a right, hugging the left wall until you reach the Orc area of the castle. Continue going west to zone into Castle Zvahl Keep. Make your way through the series of doors and teleporters, killing any demons along the way, until you reach the Throne Room.

Eat any food you have and heal up before entering. Buffs will wear when you enter the battlefield, so once inside, be sure to buff up. Zeid is a level ~76 DRK that wields a Great Sword, so he will use most Great Sword weapon skills, but will most often use Ground Strike. He can also cast all Absorb spells, as well as use a ranged attack that also stuns, called Abyssal Strike, and a more powerful Drain spell, called Abyssal Drain.

Work his HP down to around 65% to view a cut scene with Volker, who decides to help you fight Zeid. From now on, you must keep Volker alive to win the battle. Zeid will also now summon two Shadow-type mobs to assist him in battle, called Shadow of Rage. These have a TP gain ability and are just about as strong as Zeid, but with less HP. Take these out immediately, but beware that Zeid will eventually summon them again. Continue to hack away at Zeid until he is defeated.

After you have defeated Zeid, you will view a cut scene. Return to Metalworks and report to Iron Eater to view another cut scene and receive your rewards of Rank 10, 100,000 gil, and a Bastokan Flag.
