Introduction to the Trojan

Advantages:
1. Highest stamina; they have the most hp of all classes.
2. Spirit Healing greatly lessens use of pots.
3. Ability to use two weapons which can:
. a. Increase damage by 50% of your second weapon and hit-rate.
. b. Two different weapons = Two different passive skills during combat.
. c. Two weapons of the same type allow the usage of Hercules.
4. Cyclone is a huge advantage in PvP, as well as an excellent ability for farming with a friend. (You kill all the monsters while your friend picks up all the drops.)

Disadvantages:
1. Hard to level up.
2. Low armour comparing to warriors, slow down your training process due to rest for Spirit Healing.
3. Trojan equipments are popular = more expensive.

Before you start, you should have in mind what type of weapon you want to use.

One-Handed

One-handed weapons allow you to use Hercules if you use weapons of the same type. Trojans have bonus damage, hit-rate, and faster attack speed when using two weapons. As well, your weapon durability basically adds up so you can use them longer.

Club -High damage, low dex
-Skill: Rage
-Sold: Phoenix Castle and Tiger Cave (Waterfall Cave)

Club is the most popular weapon for Trojans. Why? Rage. Rage is a passive skill that does bonus damage to all monsters near you. As you might not know, your exp is given according to the amount of damage you deal, so more damage = more exp. Rage is also great for PvP; however, since clubs are so popular, it is very hard to get a good club in the game.

Sword -medium dex, medium damage.
-Skill: Phoenix and Scent Sword
-Sold: Twin City (level 5 – 70), Desert City (level 75 -80)

Sword is a popular weapon second only to clubs. Phoenix does bonus damage and is one of the hardest skills to level up. When Phoenix is at its highest level (fixed), it will do damage to all monsters near you like Rage. Scent Sword is an activated skill which drains your stamina. Scent Sword does damage to enemies in a line.

Blade -Medium dex, high damage.
-Skill: Fast Blade
-Sold: Twin City

A lot of people stick to blades because it’s the first weapon given when you start playing Conquer. Fast Blade is the same as Scent Sword, but is more powerful than Scent Sword since blades do more damage. However, blades lack a passive skill, so in the long run if you are using double blades, you will start lacking in combat damage.

Axe/Hammer -High damage, low dex.
-Skills: Earthquake/Boom
-Sold: Axe- Tiger Cave (Waterfall Cave), Hammer- Ape Mountain

Axe and hammer are the exact same weapons except their appearance are different. Their passive skill is quiet unique as it does no damage but stuns the opponent for a short period of time. Axes and hammers reduce the amount of damage you take and prolong your armour’s durability.

Dagger -Low damage, high dex
-Skill: Penetration
-Sold: Ape Mountain

Daggers have the highest hit-rate of all weapons. They attack faster than other weapons, and you can actually feel it attack faster if you switch between axes and axe/dagger. Daggers are most efficient when combined with a high damage, low dex weapon such as axe/hammer/club. The down side is that Penetration is the hardest skill to level (even harder than phoenix). However, it deals the most damage bonus, up to 240% of your original damage!!

Whip -Medium damage, medium dex.
-Skill: Roamer
-Sold: Bird Island

Whip’s skill damages an area of 180 degrees in front of you. They are not very popular due to that clubs are so much more efficient. I have never tried whips out, if you like being unique, try them out.

Hook
-Skill: Seizer
-Sold: Hook – Desert City

Seizer is a bit easier to level than dagger's penetration. Sacrificing some dex for more damage.

Scepter
-Skill: Celestial
-Sold: Scepter – Bird Island

Same concept as hook. Celestial is a bit easier to level than penetration as well.

Two-handed weapons

Two-handed weapons attack slower than one-hand weapons. They compensate their slow attack rate and size with higher damage and better passive skills. When using two-handed weapons, you cannot use Hercules. From my experience, two-handed weapons are cheaper to upgrade. However, using two-handed weapons also mean you are only using one weapon (duh!), which only allows a maximum of two sockets on your weapon.

Long Sword (aka. Glaives) -Medium damage, medium dex
-Skill: Wide Strike
-Sold: Phoenix Castle

Glaives are perhaps, the most balances weapon out there, although I argue that all weapons are equal if not for the skill difference making Penetration and Phoenix harder to level up. Wide Strike damages monsters 180 degrees in front of you, it is incredibly useful for levelling.

Poleaxe/Long Hammer -High damage, low dex.
-Skill: Boreas/Halt
-Sold: Poleaxe – Stone Village, Long Hammer – Monster Drop

Poleaxes and Long Hammers are very popular for 2-handed weapons due to its high damage. Boreas and Halt are the same as Wide Strike, however they are better because poleaxes does more damage than glaives.

Halberd -Medium damage, medium dex.
-Skill: Stranded Monster
-Sold: Stone Village (NE of Desert City)

Stranded Monster is the same as Wide Strike, Boreas and Halt except its damage bonus is lower and activation chance is higher. It looks pretty cool when swung around in combat.

Wand -Medium damage, medium dex
-Skill: Snow
-Sold: Monster Drop

Wand is another popular 2-handed weapon. Snow is the same as Fury; it deals damage to everything near you. However, the range of snow goes out further at higher levels so you can damage opponents further away.

Spear -Medium damage, medium dex
-Skill: Speed Gun
-Sold: Desert City

Spear’s skill is quiet interesting, it has the most damage bonus comparing to other 2-handed weapons (210% damage!), and it has the highest activation rate (47%). However, Speed Gun only damage monsters in a straight line and the monsters have to be aligned perfectly. It is the best weapon for doing damage 1 vs. 1.

Although it’s your choice, I suggest you use one of the following combinations for one-handed weapons:

Club + Anything
Sword + Anything
Axe/Hammer + Dagger

Try not to go Sword + Blade as both weapons use stamina skills and you do not have enough stamina to support both skills efficiently… Fast Blade and Scent Sword are the same. I am against Blade + Blade because of lack for a passive skill, which is crucial in combat. And remember, if you want to use Hercules, you HAVE to use two weapons of the same type.

For training, follow the tips given in the game as to what monster you should be fighting and when to get better equipments.

At level 15, go get your class promotion in Twin City and you will receive XP skills Accuracy and Cyclone.

-Accuracy increases your hit rate by 300%
-Cyclone greatly boosts your attack speed.

XP skill activates when the golden circle around your life bar fills up.

Accuracy is a better XP skill for you to use since it lasts 2 minutes and help you hit your monsters, which will increase damage and exp gained.

Before level 40, levelling is hectic as you are basically a warrior without Superman or Shield. It is best to go into a party and level together. You can also get a higher level player (level 70+) to power level you. Basically, just follow him/her around and eat free exp. I am, however, against doing this for all 40 levels as you will need to level weapon proficiency up and find rare items from your OWN kills to sell for cash.

After level 40, you will become a veteran Trojan in Twin City and receive Hercules, Spirit Healing, XP skill Robot and the ability to learn weapon skills. Both Spirit Healing and Hercules use your stamina, which is the blue bar between the HP bars.

-Spirit Healing costs all your stamina to heal your HP.
-Hercules does area-effect damage at the cost of 1/3 of your stamina.

To regain stamina, just sit down. Now, you should have saved at least 100k gold. If not, go out and start earning money by either killing monsters or mining. Go to the market and buy the skill that supports your weapon. You can now use two weapons, so if you choose to use two different weapons, you should also buy your second skill.

The XP skill Robot turns you into a giant robot with 50k hp. You deal a bit more damage however you hit rate is quiet low. For me, it is a useful skill because when Robot ends, HP fills up. However, people argue that Robot slows training down due to slow movement and bad hit rate. Decide if you want to level Robot up, levelling takes hard work. If you are not, keep using accuracy.

Now there are a few different paths for Trojans.

If you are using club or a wide range 2-handed weapon such as poleaxe, glaive or wand, kill white level monsters until they are green. Rage will help you level greatly and you should concentrate on upgrading your armour so you can stand in the middle of monsters without dying.

If you are using an axe/hammer and a high dex weapon such as dagger, go ahead and take on red level mobs. Stun will keep the monster from hurting you too much and the high hit-rate will help stun reach its max efficiency by scoring all your hits. Upgrade your weapons so you can kill faster.

If you are not using a weapon with any area-effect such as sword or spear, you will want to take on white monsters one at a time, levelling will be harder. Keep a balanced upgrade between weapons and armour since you will be taking damage the same time you are dealing damage.

Note: Snakeman will be a hard set of monsters for you to train on since your do not receive new armour until level 70. Bring a warrior or water tao to help you. You can also have someone tank you at sandman.
