We used to jump in, slash and hack, jump out, heal up, rinse, and repeat.

But Lavalon has evolved.
He's mean and he has a whopping 2.84million HP you'll have to whittle down. And his fragile little heart is no longer exposed for you to clobber.
You can't reach him, you can't hurt him, and there are scores of respawning mobs that come at you in waves.

So what now?

Cannon time. Don't dodge all the mobs. You need to kill them since some of them will drop Mana Bullets. Collect 2 and you can charge up the cannon in the center of the floor for one single shot at him.

Do take note of the mobs. If you get hit, your loading is interrupted and you have to start over. Careful team coordination to pull mobs away is necessary for loads to be successful. Hit the launcher a few times to launch it, and it will lob the orb at the dragon.

And what does the little blue orb do?
It stuns and paralyzes Lavalon for a period of time, below. As the Lava Drake crashes to the cavern floor, it's your time to jump in and max out your damage before he wakes.

Once he does, it's time to back off and collect more Mana bullets if you haven't done so. Players can explore the option of collecting many bullets before proceeding to take him down. It's up to you to find the best possible way to kill him.

It's a long, slow fight, and you're more likely than not to get pulled down by the swarming ranged dragons and skeleton warriors. Assign someone to AoE them while you pound him!

And when you do finally manage to down him, cross your fingers that you receive a good piece of his heart or granite ores. Do NOT throw these away when you're playing during/after OBT, as they are necessary for the crafting of Legendary weapons.

P.S. This IS one of the places where Dragonica becomes a full 3D combat environment. Align yourself before you do directional attacks!
