Suppose that it takes 9 seconds to kill a monster because Mages have to attack it 3 times. However, a monster can attack a player every 2 seconds and it so could attack the player 4 times before it is killed. So it is worthwhile for players to time their attacks properly if their internet is stable.

Players should begin to count the time after they cast the first Fire Ball. It is better to cast the second one after 3.3 seconds. This rule is suitable for all monsters but it should be 3.6 seconds if the monster is a BOSS.

Why do we have to time our attacks?

Firstly, nobody would like to kill melee monsters in a large number before there was a Mushroom quest in game. It is different now. Now, players can challenge all monsters if they like.

Secondly, it is amazing if you can use up your HP and SP at the same time, but you will suffer one less attack from the monsters.

Last but not least, it is true that you may feel bored by having to kill so many monsters to level up. But try to catch a rhythm while fighting monsters and you will find that it can be quite funny. You can be a happy Mage even when you face a troublesome BOSS.
