At the basic job levels, they slash (below),

they slam-down (below),

and they launch mobs up into the air where they execute devastating spin attacks on helpless enemies (below), who literally fly apart without being able to retaliate. I never quite got the hang of the funny Gas-Attack though. (You literally poison your enemies with a timely fart so they turn green and continue to take damage while you run off to a safe distance.)
Plus, you actually get higher gold-drops per kill if you upgrade your "steal gold from enemies" skill.

But upgrade to a second level job, and you get THIS. The Assassin(-to-Ninja) job-line (above) is more popular and specializes in sneaky, poison-laced slash tactics. If you remember the 2D art in a previous post, they also wield the meanest-looking katar blades and are gifted with auto-Dodge and -Block skills, as well as some nifty burrowing and "disappear-and-reappear-behind-your-enemy" moves.

This time round, I decided to feature the Jester instead.

Discount them at your loss. I quickly realized that the Jesters were the melee-attack specialists of the Thief class. Instead of slash-n-dodge tactics, it features multi-hit crowd-clearing attacks (here's where the speed is, people...) like the vertical-spin below, as well as the reassuringly-high HP of all the Thief classes.
