This is the community update for 3rd February 2006, including: Developer Blog on 1UP, New Game Manual, Special GSP event, 16.2 Update.

Developer Blog on 1UP

Quest designer Yngvild Lothe has been given the opportunity by the good folk at 1UP.com to start a developer blog that will periodically give you a little insight into what goes into Anarchy Online, as well as any other thoughts she feels like sharing!

New Game Manual

Many thanks for all the positive comments and great feedback on the new game manual released last week. We have updated a new version of the manual today off the back of the great suggestions and feedback we have recieved.

Remember you can find the manual for download here (approximately 4.8mb and requires Acrobat reader) so make sure you check it out. Special GSP event

Some advance warning today of a special event being hosted by the guys over at Gridstream Productions in a couple of weeks time.

This is promotional event will find DJ Tarryk interviewing Aaron Ruby, the co-author of the new book "Smartbomb", about the video game revolution. Particular points within the book discuss the world of Rubi-Ka and it's population, those points will be discussed in detail, and questions will be taken from the public of Rubi-Ka. While the event will take place on RK1/Atlantean, questions will be taken over gridbot from all dimensions.

16.2 Update

The 16.2 update is continuing to be tested on our test servers. We are hopeful that the patch may be ready to go onto the live servers next week, but we are monitoring a couple of recent changes on test live over the weekend before making any decisions.
