The weapon types of Aion - The Tower of Eternity:

Weapon Groups

The closed beta in Korea featured four weapon categories based on their use, and nine total weapon types derived from their design.

One-Handed Weapons

These are wielded in one hand, and can either be used with a Shield or another One-Handed Weapon.

• Dagger
• Short Sword
• Mace

Two-Handed Weapons

These are wielded in both hands. They will deal the most damage alone.

• Long Sword
• Pole-Arm

Magic Weapons

These are wielded in one hand, and are mostly used to increase magical attacks.

• Tome
• Orbs
• Staffs

Long-Range Weapons

These are wielded in both hands.

• Bow

Abyss Weapons

There are some weapons that you can earn only using your Abyss Points.
