The Empyrean Lords were created by Aion (god) to lead the Daevas in war against the Balaur. After their world was divided, they, too, were split into the Seraphim (Elyos), and Shedim (Asmodian) Lords.

Azariel is the leader of the Seraphim Lords, and wholey the Elyos; Asphel, the Shedim, and Asmodians.
