Description In order to become a truly great hunter, one must be accepted by mother nature. In order for that to happen, one must gain the fang of a tiger, the fanged king. But it does not sound like any old fang will do...
Walkthrough Talk to Perih Vashai in Windurst Woods (K-7). Then go to L-10 of Sauromugue Champaign. You'll find a small cave, but be careful though as the tigers here are aggressive. Wait until the Old Sabertooth dies naturally (it's as if he is poisoned, he will die in less than 10 minutes) then go deeper in the cave and check the Tiger Bones. You will receive an item. Take the item back to Perih Vashai and you will receive the Ranger Advanced Job.

Note that you must not attack the Old Sabertooth. If he aggros on you, you'll need to wait for him to respawn and watch him die again WITHOUT provoking him. At level 32 he was too weak to be worthwhile so he did not attack, unless you rest or attack him. Another way is just to watch him die on a chocobo.
