These wandering performers entertain crowds and confound their enemies with a customizable puppet known as an "automaton." Puppetmasters can also fall back on hand-to-hand fighting skills that utilize the flexible movements of their art.

Unlocking The Job (Must Be Level 30)

Quest Giver: Shamarhaan
Location: Bastok Markets (F-9)

Speak to Shamarhaan near the fountain to get a Cutscene. Then go to Iruki-Waraki at (K-9) in Aht Urhgan Whitegate. After that scene, speak to Ghatsad at (I-7) in the Automaton Workshop.

Once you've received those cutscenes, head to Nashmau and exit out the north gate into Caedarva Mire. Head to (I-6) to zone to Arrapago Reef. At (H-10) on the first boat, beneath the stairs, is a ???. Click it to recieve the Key Item Antique Automaton.

Return to Ghatsad and give him the Antique Automaton, then wait one game day and speak to him again. After this, speak to Iruki-Waraki again to recieve your Animator and then choose your Automaton's name from a list. Once you zone after this, Puppetmaster will show up on your list of available jobs.

Congratulations, you can now become a Puppetmaster!

Your Puppet

Your puppet is an amazing device that is fully capable of adapting to almost any role you can think of - given the right assembly. That's right, you can swap out your puppet's head and body to create many different combinations of machine, as well as equip a myriad of different parts to tweak out its performance in battle!

Also, your puppet has its own stats and combat skills, as well as many special abilities it can employ based on the parts you've installed, such as stoneskin or provoke!
