Some people may think woodcutting is a fairly easy and useless skill. Thats where you are wrong though, because if you get your woodcutting level high enough to cut down magic trees and get somebody to make them into bows for you, you can be making alot of money. Cutting down a tree is simple, just have any type of hatchet in your inventory and click on a tree (normal tree if you are just starting out, no oak, willow, etc...). Sometimes you may fail and sometimes you will succeed in cutting the tree down. It all depends on your woodcutting level; the higher your level the better chance you have in succeeding.

Hatchets

To make woodcutting alittle more interesting, there are currently seven (7) different types of hatchets that you can use. As of right now, there are no such thing as a dragon hatchet and you can not smith a black hatchet. However, the Runescape world does have these types of hatchets:

- Bronze
- Iron
- Steel
- Black
- Mithril
- Adamanite
- Runite
They are listed in order of value. Bronze being least valuable and Runite being most valuable.

The following chart shows you what trees you can cut down at what level and how much experience you get per log.
