RuneScape Cheats:The guide to prevent getting hacked

Prevent Yourself from being Hacked

1.Think before you use yours password

Some people in Runescape are always trying to guess someone's password. If you don't want them to hack you, think about what your password will be.

Tips

Your password should be more than 7 characters for safety. Do not use your e-mail, telephone number, birthday, real names, easily cracked passwords etc. for your password, otherwise some hackers can guess it easily. Try to use some words or some numbers that you can remember.

Best method is to use like 3 to replace E, @ to replace A, 1 to replace L, 0 to replace O, things like this. Numbers and letters combinations make the best password.

Change your password about once a week. It will be risky if you don't change your password because you won't know that if someone knows your password or not.

2.Do not answer questions to strangers

Remember not to answer them except they are asking about something in runescape. These people are always trying to ask your personal question and start guessing your recovery question.

3.Watch out for fake emails

Fake websites are one of the most dangerous thing to hack your accout. These websites usually say something about this:

Runescape cheat websites:Jagex said that there is no cheats but actually there is but these sites won't give it to you. It will only ask your accout and your password.

Runescape test server sites: Some hackers may make a page that says f2p can test RS2 now. Do not fall into this. No one can host test servers but Jagex.

Runescape staff sites:Jagex has said that they won't sent any staffs to the forums that are hosted by the players and they will not host any sites to scam. If you see something about this, it is definitely a site that wants to hack someone.

4.Do not type your password into the Internet

Remember that if you are registering in a forum,do not use the password that you are using in ruenscape because some of the admins and site owners will steal your password and hack your accout.(This has nothing to do with runehq) Second:Do not type your passwords in some sites that says they got a cheat or free items. These sites are definitely trying to steal your password. If it is you, will you share a party hat with someone that you don't know?

5.Do not share your password with anyone

Do NOT share your accouts with someone, even with your best friends. Like jagex said in advertisement..."Do not share accouts with your friends, they may be a monster."

6.Fake Emails & Fake Staff

Since Jagex has said that they won't send a e-mail that says you got a private message instead of using the Accout Management, there will be no e-mails sending by Jagex. If there is,it must be a scamming e-mail.

As I have told you before,Jagex staff will not go to any forums hosted by players.Even if they do,they won't say that they are a staff. If an user in the forums or a player in runescape says that he/she is a Jagex staff and asking for your password,do not listen to them because if they are staffs, they will have your password.

7.Staying Secured

Most windows distributions are NOT secure unless you take some actions.

Make sure to go to the Window Updates for at least once a week. The updates there is very useful for your computer.

Install some softwares for preventing key-loggers. Keyloggers are programs that can monitor and record your every keystroke, exposing you to the risk of identity theft by revealing user names, passwords and other confidential information. So if you don't remove your keyloggers, they will record your runescape password. Try to find some anti-virus programs in the internet,it may help you a lot.

I think that's all but if you want more information, you can go to the Secruity Tips in runescape.com.

If you have some more information about prevent getting hacked or there is a problem in this guide, please pm me or post here. Thanks.

Also, if you do get hacked, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO WRITE DOWN THE INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE YOU LOGGED IN LAST, when you get back on your account. This help us see if the hacker is a user here and try to help you. It is important to not let your emotions get the best of you and forget this, even though its hard. That information is the only line of defense we have to help you and if you forget to get it the first time you log in after the hack, it is gone.
