Welcome to the Dueling Arena! This place can be a great place to test your combat skills with fellow players, keep your items if you die, and possibly (if you get someone to wager them) win stuff like rare items or cash.

1) You can get to the dueling arena easily by going northeast of Al Kharid, or use your Ring of dueling to teleport you there.



Just past the entrance is the ScoreBoard. The scoreboard is here to make you look good, or totally embarrass you. If you beat a higher level than yourself you feel good. If a lower level wins ... well, its a disgrace. Mubariz, the Duel Arena guide, is also located nearby. Speak to him if you forget anything we tell you here about the Duel Arena and how it works.

2) The first thing you will notice is that it is a very large arena. If you walk up the long sloping catwalks you can watch people dueling. This can be fun for a little while. While you're up there you can get a little bit more entertainment from throwing Rotten tomatoes down on the people dueling! You can buy Rotten tomatoes from Fadli.

3) Banking. Use the chest near Fadli just like your everyday normal bank. Grab whatever you want for your dueling experience, whether it be potions, armour, food, etc. You can also buy Rotten tomatoes here.

4) The Hospital. This is where you wake up if you die during a duel. If you have a skull and lowered stats, when you die and return to the hospital area you lose your skull and regain back all stats that were lowered.

5) Altar. It is a good idea to have your prayer fully charged if you will be in a duel that allows it.

6) The Duel. Many people, whether near your level or far from it, will probably be trying to duel you. These players will most likely not be staking. Staking is where each player wagers items they will give to the victorious player, obviously between the two dueling. If you stake, and you win, the other player gets nothing; you keep your stuff as well as winning whatever items he or she wagered.

7) The Arenas. With certain duel options you choose, you will be taken to a certain arena. For instance, the most used is the fun duel arena. You access this arena by checking none of the options.

8) The Options



a) No forfeit... you cannot leave the arena once you're in. Better hope you did not stake...
b) No movement ... self explanatory
c) No weapons ... no weapons of any kind
d) No Armour ... no armour of any kind
e) No jewelry ... no rings, necklaces nor amulets allowed
f) No Ranged... no ranging with any bow or throwing weapon
g) No Melee ... no close combat
h) No Magic ... no using magical spells
i) No Sp. Atk ... no special attack
j) Flower Power ...use only Flowers as weapons
k) No Potions ... no potions however, use them before the fight for best results
l) No food ... no eating to restore hit points
m) No prayer ... no prayer
n) Obstacles ... puts you in an arena with a lot of walls (good for mages and rangers, harder for warriors)


9) Fun Duels. Fun duels usually mean I just want experience. Usually there are no stakes and no checked options. This is a very accurate way to gain XP toward whatever combat skill you use.
