RuneScape Cheats:Fishing and Cooking Special Report

Mmmm, cooking and fishing, they?¡¯re my favorite skills, so I wrote a guide on em!

Fishing - Intro
Fishing - Power Fishing
Fishing - Lobster Fishing
Cooking - Intro
Cooking - Gaining Levels
Raw Fish/Cooking - Price Guide

So you have decided to fish and cook, eh? Well, fasten your bags, cause this is gonna be a VERY long guide!

Lets do fishing first

.: Fishing :.

Ok, you?¡¯re a level one fisher, in desperate attempt to get higher. But now what do you do? Below is a brief walkthrough to getting from level 1 to 40s. My method might take a while, so I hope you have a lot of time on your hands.

NOTE: My calculating might be off by a few fish, I suggest calculating it yourself. I?¡¯m just giving you an approximate!

Starting at level 1. To get from 1 to 5 you need around 40 shrimps, so grab a net and head on down to a place with net fishing! Karamja and Catherby have areas for net fishing. Once you get level 5, you can keep net fishing to get to level 10 (you need around 77 shrimps to from level 5 to level 10 fishing) or 38 sardines to get to level 10 from 5. I'm guessing sardines are shorter, even though its harder to catch, but if you think getting those 40 shrimps was quick, then by all means, go catch those 77 shrimps for level 10. To catch sardines you need bait and a regular fishing rod. You need one bait for one fish, so if your getting to 10 from 5 you will need 38 bait (since you need to catch 38 sardines). If you fail to catch a fish, you won?¡¯t use a feather, you only use a feather when you catch a fish. Right click a fishing spot in the sea/river and if it says Bait fish, it means that?¡¯s a place you can fish sardines (there will be more fish you can catch from bait fishing areas as you get better). Now, go fis h!
From 10 to 20 you need 332, 166 sardines or 111 herrings. If you want to catch herrings then bring bait and a regular fishing rod. It?¡¯s just like catching sardines, except this time you wont be guarenteed to catch what your trying to catch. When you are bait fishing you will catch a mixture of fish. Since you are only level 10, you can only catch sardines and herrings. You will normally catch sardines, but sometimes you will catch herrings. The higher level you are, the chance of catching herrings increases.

Great, now that you are level 20, you can fly fish for trouts! Buy some feathers and a FLY fishing rod from a fishing store, and look for a fishing area that says ?¡°Lure Fish?¡± instead of Bait Fish or Net Fish. Most of these places will be on rivers. At level 20 you can catch Trouts, but when you are 30 you will catch a mixture of trouts and salmon (almost like bait fishing). When you?¡¯re level 20 you only need to fish about 67 Trouts (or 337 shrimps, 169 sardines, 112 herrings) to get to level 25, so buy a bit more than 67 feathers (remember, my calculations might be off). At level 25, you can catch Salmon. It may seem hard to catch all these fish, but beileve me, it will be faster than when your up in the 50s or 60s.

Once your level 30, begin to POWER FISH. Try to get to 50 so you can catch lobsters easily. (if your 50 they are much easier, but you only need 40 fishing to catch a lobster)

From there on its pretty fun and also very rewarding. Just go to Karamja and catch lobsters. Read Lobster Fishing for more details.
I got from 50 to 55 on lobsters (you?¡¯ll need 726, so it might take a few days) and from 55 to 60 Powerfishing. Most people do Method A or Method B to get from 60 to 65, then powerfish to 70 or 76. If you buy feathers off a player, it would be about 10-20gp each. I buy them for 15gp each.

Power Fishing-

Level recommended: 35+
Fishing Level Needed: 20 to catch trouts 25 to catch salmon
Items needed[I]: A fly fishing rod and a lobster pot

This is dedication at its best, because you don't do anything other than click in one area, and eat and sleep in real life of course! (hence the name POWER fishing). If you are a member, there are lots of different places to go to lure fish. The only place in f2p I know of where you can lure fish is at barbarian village or Lumbridge. For members you can also go to the river north of Ardougne, there are 2 spots to lure fish south of the warriors. If you keep following the river you will find a bridge, you can cross the bridge and continue north along the river to find some more lure fishing and even further north for even more lure fishing. Most rivers are places where you can Lure Fish. Also, make sure the Lure Fish is top option, so you can just sit there and left click (I don?¡¯t know of any spots where Lure Fishing isn?¡¯t on the top)
Ok! Grab a fly fishing rod and buy some feathers off players or from a store. You can buy feathers at the archery store in Catherby (I?¡¯m pretty sure), or south of Al Kharid or you can also find them in Port Sarim fishing shop. Switch servers until you get enough feathers, they normally cost 4-5gp each (use fishing calculators to find out how many trouts you need for the level you trying to get to. I always check trout, because the more the better). Bring your rod, your feathers, your favorite costume, go find a lure fishing spot, and start clicking! Make sure you have a sleeping bag, or else your doomed! I like to bring Zamorak Robes, Pendant of Lucian, Santa Hat, Cooking Gauntlets (or gloves), and sometimes boots. You won't need space unless your wanting to cook it all, but I think its WAY to slow to bank all your fish (or go make a fire and cook) because it ruins the purpose of power fishing (getting fast FISHING levels).

Just click and click. I suggest moving your TV into your computer room so you don't need to concentrate on the repeating clicking sound, and try to find a empty spot, I doubt it matters but I don?¡¯t want people taking my fish. And put on some music or if your lucky someone might be at another spot near you so you can chat. I also go on whatever servers fastest for me, not that it really makes a difference on high-speed. Good luck...
I can get around 40-50k experience an hour from pure clicking. I?¡¯m sure you could get at least 30k an hour if you?¡¯re level 30+, at least 40k an hour if you?¡¯re level 40+ and probably 45-50k an hour if you?¡¯re over level 50.

Lobster Fishing-
Level recommended: 50+
Fishing Level Needed: 40 To catch a lobster
Items needed[I]: Lobster pot

Lobster Fishing: Method A:
With this method, you fish then cert/bank then sell (once done fishing of course). There is no cooking exp gained from this, so I don?¡¯t like it much, but raw lobster certs can be sold for more than cooked. It helps if your level 50 fishing, that way you catch lobsters faster, but you can be 40 or above to do this.
Find a place to lobster fish, I suggest Karamja Docks if you?¡¯re member or free play.

For members: Bring- 1 Lobster Pot, about 100 coins (or to be exact; 60 coins, 30 to get there and 30 to get back), a sleeping bag, one item of your choice (I like cooking gauntlets, even if I?¡¯m not cooking) and one empty spot for certificates. Now there are 25 spaces for lobsters, which is 5 certificates each load. If you?¡¯re in Catherby, just bring a lobster pot and a sleeping bag if u don't want walk to a bed. (there is a bank near by, and no place to cert)

For F2P: Bring- 1 Lobster Pot, LOTS of coins and a sleeping bag. If you want you can bring a tinderbox and a hatchet.
The only way I know how to do this method in F2P is to either drop fish (let it drop automatically when you get a full load, but that is a waste of money) or walk back to Draynor bank. If anyone knows a better way then please tell me!

Once you've got your items, go to your fishing place, and fish lobsters until your full. If you?¡¯re at Karamja docks and your members, start walking over to Brimhaven when your full (go west? Past the level 21 scorpions) and go through the gate. Once you?¡¯re through the gate, go a little bit north beside the house with a bed in it. Talk to Seth, and cert your uncooked lobsters. Do this until you have reached your wanted amount of levels/lobsters.

If your freeplay, you can deposite in bank or cert them in Draynor Village. If you aren?¡¯t greedy for money, you sell them to the general store north of the docks on Karamja. If you have a tinderbox and a hatchet, go find a tree (I think there is one beside the general store) and light a fire. Then cook your lobsters and eat them, bank/cert them at Draynor or just sell them at the store.

If you?¡¯re in Catherby, just fish and deposite your raw lobs in bank. Once you get around 1000 lobs you can go to Draynor Village to cert them. Don't go over 1000 or you will die of boredom from certing them. Sell them for around 1.5k to 1.8k each on RICH forums like tip.it.

Lobby Fishing: Method B:
In this method you fish, then cook, then sell. This is my favorite way of getting fishing and cooking levels, I think most people should do this. People buy raw certs for more money than cooked, so you will not make AS much money as method A, but I think its worth it for the cooking experience. Grab the same items as in Method A if your Members, and go to Karamja docks and start fishing like you would in Method A. Don't bring a hatchet or tinderbox (unless your freeplay), since there is a range in brimhaven and your going there anyways to cert your fish. Once in Brimhaven go south until you find a room with a range and a ladder. Up the ladder is a bed and a bronze hatchet. Cook your lobsters (I ate the lobsters that didn't make up a cert when I burned, because I was in it for experience not money) and go cert them, then go back and continue fishing.

I am not too sure on f2p though. Take a tinderbox, 100 coins or so, any type of hatchet, lobster pot and a sleeping bag. Fish until you get 25 lobsters, go find a tree (there is one in between the general store and the pub) cut it down and the logs should auto drop. Light a fire and start cooking. From here its up to you, if you want you can simply eat them, destroying any way of making money, but not wasting time banking or anything. If you want to make a little bit of money and still be fast you can sell them to the general store on karamja, but after a while of fishing and selling it might start to stack up and they wont pay much for ur lobs (switching servers might stop this?). If you want to take up lots of time you can take a trip back to port sarim, walk to Draynor Village, either cert or bank your cooked lobs and go back to Karamja (that?¡¯s 60gp just to bank/cert your lobsters!)

Sell your cooked lobsters for 1.5k to 1.8k each. Voila

.: Cooking :.

Cooking Cycle
(Need level 40 cooking or above to do this)
Definitely one of my favorite ways to get cooking levels. The only thing is, you don?¡¯t get much fishing experience (if any) doing this. None the less, it?¡¯s fast cooking levels! I got from 59 to 66 in about 5-10 hours. This doesn't make much money though.
Fish about 100-200 lob certs, or buy them, make sure they are all raw. It helps ALOT of you have cooking gauntlets. At level 63 cooking with gauntlets you might fail 1 out of every 500 lobsters (I failed once before I got a cooking level. Haven?¡¯t failed since). Without them, you could fail up to 5 every 25 lobsters.
Go to Draynor bank and take out the following items:
If you don't have gauntlets of cooking, bring your 100 raw lobster certs, a hatchet, a tinderbox, a sleeping bag and leave one empty space for cooked lobster certs when you start cooking. Go talk to Niles, the fish guy, and say id like to trade in some certs. Uncert 25 raw lobsters and go the tree right beside the stalls (it doesn?¡¯t really matter, I just find it closer). Cut the tree, the logs will automatically drop then make a fire. Cook a bunch, drop the burnt lobsters and eat or deposit the remaining lobsters that don?¡¯t make up a cert. Cert your cooked lobsters and repeat!
Unfortunately, with cooking gauntlets it takes up another slot, and there isn?¡¯t any items you could spare, so I can only cook 20 lobs at a time. Bring out all the items I mentioned above, then get your gaunts and 4 extra items (I bring clothes to look cool). Do the same thing as above, just don?¡¯t ask for 25 fish, ask for 20

If your on a busy server (I get this on members servers too, even though there?¡¯s only 400-500 people on a server) you might get a lot of people asking you if you want to buy raw lob certs. Say "ill trade cooked certs for raw", if they say no, wait for the next person to come along. I found a buddy who?¡¯s constantly trading raw for cooked, and he fishes alot, so whenever I?¡¯m getting down to 20 or less raw lobster certificates he comes over and we swap, that bumps me back up to almost 200 raw certs I have to cook. I do this for ages, because (I never burn with gaunts ) I don?¡¯t need to leave this heavenly place. Its fast and better than buying, since you don't use a single penny unless you buy the raw certs to start off with. Right now I?¡¯m doing around 200 certs and 'cycling' over and over again. Cook, cert, trade, repeat. If you ever start to run out because your burning too many you can go fish or buy some more, then continue.

Once you get bored, you wanna stop, or you?¡¯ve reached your level, and you have cooked all your raw certs, just sell em for lots of money (1.5k to 1.8k each). A bit of money made, but LOTS of cooking levels made. No money lost! What a great way to get levels! You can get to 70 quickly, and even 80 isn?¡¯t too hard.

Cooking: Level Gaining

Ok, starting at level one.

If your members, you can pick up cod or mackerel in Catherby (everyone just lets it fall to the floor) and go to the range nearby and cook it. To get from level 1 to level 5, you need to cook about 5 cod or 6 mackerel. If you don?¡¯t have members, you can cook bread, meat shrimps or sardines to get to level 5. To get from level 5 to level 10, you need to cook about 19 sardines, 15 herrings, 10 cods, 13 mackerels or 26 meats. From level 10, I went to champion?¡¯s guild (I suggest doing all the quests to get in, it will help A LOT) and killed chickens. Bury the bones for prayer, take the feathers for fishing or for money (from selling) and grab the raw meat. Once you are full on raw meat, go to the range and cook them all. Eat all of them (its faster than dropping) and repeat.
I got to around 32 on this (I probably got a couple prayer levels too), then made pies in the cooking guild, west of Varrock. If you find killing chickens isn?¡¯t any fun, you can make red berry pies or other things around your level. Once I hit level 35 I made lots of wines (about 135) to get to level 40. I think I may have gotten to around level 45-50 cooking on pies, wines and cakes before cooking lobsters.
When you hit level 45 to 50 cooking, do fishing method B if your fishing is good enough, or do my [i]Cooking Cycle technique to whatever level you want.
Some people like to powerfish but cook all the trout/salmon they catch. I personally don?¡¯t like it, but I?¡¯ve seen level 100?¡¯s do it, so I?¡¯m guessing its fine.
