Unless you have done the Grand Tree Quest the Tree Gnome Stronghold tree spirit will NOT WANT TO TALK. therefore you can not use it to travel.

Well, stop running and use the RuneScape FREE Gnome Public Transportation System!

Why is it FREE you ask? It is the Gnome's way of saying "Thank You" for your assistance with the completion of the Tree Gnome Village quest and The Grand Tree quest.

You ask how does this work? Let me tell you...

You have to understand that there are 2 parts to the Gnome Transportation System: The Gnome Spirit Trees and the Gnome Gliders. The Gnome Spirit Trees are a series of magical trees that can transport you around RuneScape; you are permitted to use them upon completing the Tree Gnome Village quest. The Gnome Gliders are a series of gliders piloted by a few adventurous Gnomes; you are allowed to use them when you have completed The Grand Tree quest.

For the Gnome Spirit Trees, there are 4 Spirit Trees to talk to...

1) Tree Gnome Village Spirit Tree





2) Battlefield of Khazard Spirit Tree





3) Forest North of Varrock Spirit Tree





4) Gnome Stronghold Spirit Tree

What you need to understand about the Spirit Gnome Spirit Trees is that all transportation is handled through the Central Spirit Trees at the Tree Gnome Village or the Gnome Stronghold. From either of these locations, you can teleport to the other 3 locations. All other locations will only transport you back to the Central Tree Gnome Village Spirit Tree.

For the Gnome Gliders, there are 6 gliders total in use...



1) Ta Quir Priw = Grand Tree





2) Sindarpos = White Wolf Mountains





3) Lemanto Andra = Digsite





4) Kar-Hewo = Al Kharid





5) Gandius = Karamja Island (Note: this is landing site after you have completed the quest. During the quest, you will crash land near the Jogres and the log to cross the river.)

6) Lemantolly Undri = Feldip Hills (Note:This site becomes usable once the One Small Favor Quest is complete)

Much like the Gnome Spirit Trees, all travel is handled through the Central Glider at the Gnome Stronghold. From this location, you can be flown to the remaining 4 locations. All other locations will only fly you back to the Central Glider.

Warning: The pilot for the Digsite area is currently practicing "Creative Landings". As such, you will not be able to use his glider for any return trip. However, this location has recently become more convenient since Jagex has opened the way north of it to the gate between Varrock and the Morytania region. Also, the Gnome flight attendants have left a Blurberry Special on the table as you exit the Karamja Glider. Please help yourself after the long flight.
