RuneScape Cheats:Pollivneach

Pollivneach is located at the very far south of the desert. It is highly recommended that you take quite a few waterskins, as it is quite a long trek from shantay pass (if you don't take the flying carpet).

World map

This area is used in "The Feud" quest, as you have to sort out the fights going on between the two Tribes, the Bandits, and the Menaphites. To get to Pollivneach, you must first go through the Shantay Pass (located at the south of Al Kharid). First, purchase some Desert Robes, some waterskins and a Shantay Pass, (maybe bring teleport runes if you'd rather not have a hard journey out). Note: To sample the full hospitality of Pollivneach you may need to take some cash, maybe about 1k. However, the longer you wish to stay in the desert, the more waterskins you will need.

Invertory

Once out of the Shantay Pass, you can either walk south in the desert till you reach the desert mining camp, then walk South-East from there, or take a flying carpet (a lot quicker but costs 200gp). The flying carpets are owned by Ali Morrisane and can be taken from Shantay Pass, Bedabin Camp, Pollivneach, Uzer, Sophanem and Menaphos (you can only get to sophanem and menaphos if you take the flying carpet from behind the pub in polliveneach). Each flight costs 200gp and takes about an eighth of the time it would take to walk.

The first thing you will notice about Pollivneach is a small area with houses flooded with bandits. This is ok, they are not aggressive. However, they can be pickpocketed or lured by street urchins. They can also be knocked out by blackjacks (see the feud quest guide).

Bandit town

As you get further on through Pollivneach you will come to a general store. The market seller who runs the store sells simple items, but may be effective in the desert heat.

Also, there are quite a fair amount of level 3 villagers scattered throughout the town, in simple houses that have no "real" addition to the town. Except the houses have some fancy tables upstairs that don't do any harm to see. Great for banquets.

Then as we move on further, we reach the center of the town, where the action begins. First, on the east hand side of the central well, we have the Mayor's House, not much of a thrill, but It holds clues to unlocking the safe in the wife's bedroom upstairs (see the feud quest guide).

The safe:

Street Urchins (Little children) linger round the corners and alleyways of the town, shouting abuse at the citizens, so strangers can pickpocket them.

Then, to the south of the central well, we reach the pub of Pollivneach- "The Asp and Snake". "What a strange name for a Bar" one might say.

Asp and Snake

You can buy beer, whiskey, jugs of wine, vodka, brandy and grog. And also there is a drunk man sitting in a chair. "Drunken Ali" like every other ali in the whole city.

Drinks

Just northwest of the central well, we have the Kebab Shop. He sells normal kebabs for 3gp each, but he also sells Super Kebabs (a very hot version of the normal kebab) for 5 gold pieces each. Note: If you are doing "The Feud" quest, you might also be able to buy a bottle of extra hot kebab sauce, I don't know if you can buy before the quest.

Kebab shop

Now, the highlight of the trip. At the back of the pub there is a snake charmer, drop 2gp into his money pot and he will listen to you, if you're lucky, he might give you a snake charming kit. With which you can charm the snakes outside the menaphite den.

Snake charmer

Maybe you could become an expert snake charmer thanks to 2gp!

Now, over at the far side of the city, are the Menaphites. A vengeful gang who want their camels back from the thieving bandits! This gang is run by a man called "Ali the Operator" who is usually standing at the front of the tent. See The Feud quest guide. The menaphites have the same properties as the bandits, they can be lured by street urchins, knocked out by blackjacks, or overall pickpocketed (level 65 thieving needed).

Menaphites

Ok, nearing the end of our trip to Pollivneach, we venture into the lair, which smells, revoltingly of "Camel Dung". Yes, this is Ali the Camel Man's shop. And a little tip, use Kebab Sauce with the camel's food trough outside, bound to get a funny result, as the camels then poo everywhere.

Camel

And last but not least, we come across the house of old "Ali the Hag". A woman/or man, who is notorious for witchcraft. With her help, maybe you can brew a poison out of camel dung to put in traitorous ali's ale. Who knows, however, she poses no real importance to the whole city.

Ali the Hag

Sadly, this brings us to an end of our trip to Pollivneach, at the bottom of this page I have provided a map, for those who are stuck in finding these certain people. To get out of Pollivneach, take a flying carpet from behind the pub, or at the front of the town, or simply walk back home.

Desert Treasure This may not be an actual part of Pollivneach, but i thought it might be useful to add for all the people who are doing Desert Treasure. To the East of Pollivneach (past the menaphite den) you will come to a rock face, go south-east and up north again to get to the other side of it. Just beside a few cactuses, there is a smokey well, as some of you may know already, the home of Fareed The Fire Demon. Caution:: Do not enter the well without plenty of food and you must be wearing a facemask, this dungeon is full of fire giants, pyrefiends and dust devils. Beware!
