Mort'ton is for members only!
Ah, the gloomy, shade infested, old Morton. Morton is located southwest of Canfis through Mt. Myre Swamp. I am sure you do not want to get lost, or not know any locals. Although the city is infected with some odd disease, a little Serum 207 will clear that up, along with half the buildings being abandoned, but I'm sure you'll love it. So here is the city of Morton for you. Also, if you have a Druid Pouch from Nature Spirit, then there are plenty of ghasts hanging around.
1. Holy River Salve:
Here you see the holy River Salve. This river was filled with evil until purified with Rune Essence when you helped the Priest In Peril.
2. Razmire's Stores:
Here we have the only store in all of gloomy Morton. And it is a double take! You need a general store? Here you go. Need some temple repair equipment? Right here! Here Razmire has set up his general store (Razmire General Store) and his building shop (Razmire's Builders Merchants). You can buy the key component to shade burning, Olive Oil.
By using Serum 207, you can purify this "infected" Razmire. Note that after using the Serum 207 (p), he still may say he is infected, just talk to him and he will turn normal, it happens because of a glitch.

3. The Temple:
Here is the temple. The best place for this is World 2. In a world with less people, no one is there to help you build the temple which will get knocked down by shades. Thanks to many, a great guide has been written and can be found here: Morton Shade Burning Guide. Here you can build your temple and raise the sanctity to at least 10% so you can make your olive oil into sacred oil by using it on the flame in the middle.
This is not what you want; you will have no chance of getting any sanctity.
This is what you want.
4. Underground Tombs and Shades:
Here are the underground shade rooms. These are very rewarding to do and will give you some thrill. To get in you will need any key from cremating any shade remains.
5. Funeral Pyres:
Here are the funeral pyres. Use your sacred oil on logs equal to the shade you need to burn (refer to the Mort'tan Shade Burning Guide). After that, lay down the logs and the shade and head over to the table thing on the end of the Funeral Pyre and pick up your loot.
6. The Route Out:
Here is just a route to Canfis, follow it north until you reach a gate, go through it and you are out of the gloomy Mt. Myre Swamp.
7. The Route out to...Adventure!:
Is killing dead warriors your taking? Head over to the barrows, but make sure you are prepared or you will be wakening with a rude surprise.
8. Entrance Maze:
Here is the Mimi Maze before you enter Mort'ton, trouble for some, easy for others. If you may be stuck I have a route map, though it is not really hard to get through.
And here's me taking a stroll through it.
9. Ulsquire:
Ulsquire after the quest is useless. During the quest he is used because he has extensive knowledge about shades.
Before using Serum 207...

Also, in Mortan, a quest can be done in conjunction with shade burning. Shades of Mortan can be started by entering Mt. Myre and going through the "Mini-Maze" and by searching the sign. RuneHQ has a wonderful guide at Shades Of Mort'tan in the Quest Help section.
Monsters found in Mort'ton:
Ever wonder what those shades are? You know, the green ones? Well here is some pictures. These are the most common and easiest to kill. Remember, if your not level 81 they will be aggressive and attack you for no reason.
Here's the shades both in there blob form and shade form.
And here are some remains.
Here are the "Afflicted" who you see running around. They are levels 30, 32, 34, and 37. They are not hard to beat but if you are under the non-aggressive level, you may be in trouble because there are a lot of them.
