Welcome to Canifis! To enter, you must have completed the Priest in Peril quest.

Map

  1. Saradomin Temple

    This temple is dedicated to Saradomin, but was overrun by Monks of Zamorak (Lvl 22). You must rescue Drezel from here in the Priest in Peril quest. Just outside the temple is a monk. Talk to him to begin the Devious Minds quest.

  2. Dungeon Entrance/Exit

    This tunnel is the only land route to get into all of Mortania. It also plays a large part in the Priest in Peril quest.

  3. Burgh De Rott Ramble

    Speak to Hiylik Myna in order to begin the minigame Burgh De Rott Ramble.

  4. Taxidermist

    This woman will stuff and preserve certain creatures that you have killed for use in construction. You must provide her with the item and a certain amount of money in order for it to be stuffed; She will not sell you the items.

  5. General Store

    An average general store. However, the prices are higher than usual, because the store owner had to sneak into the human part of the world in order to obtain these items.

  6. Hide tanner

    This man will tan your cow hides, snake skins, and dragon hides, for a price.

  7. Canifis Clothes Shop

    This shop offers a variety of clothing in many different matching colors. All gloves, hats, robes, and boots cost the same, no matter the color.

  8. Raw food shop

    Because Werewolves absolutely love meat, but absolutely hate it cooked, all of their food is sold raw! A wide variety of raw meat and food is sold here.

  9. "The Hair of the Dog" Tavern

    This is the local pub. Talk to or trade Roavar in order to buy a Moonlight Mead. After you drink it, you can refill for free with regular beer with the barrels near the entrance. On one of the tables is a pickled brain. You must try to pick it up in order to buy it. This pickled brain is fresh from a human and is a rare werewolf delicacy for only 50 gp. This is used in the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest.

  10. Stranger/Vanstram Klause

    Inside "The Hair of the Dog" tavern is a stranger. Talk to this stranger to begin the In Search of the Myreque quest. After talking to him, his name will change to Vanstram Klause. After completing the quest, though, his name will return to Stranger.

  12. Slayer Tower

    Many strange creatures roam this gigantic tower. They are all part of the Slayer skill, and you may be assigned a creature from within during a Slayer task.

  13. Old Crone's house

    The Old Crone's house. She is used in the quests Animal Magnetism and Ghosts Ahoy.

  14. Mazchna

    Mazchna is a Slayer Master. Talk to him to recieve a slayer task. You must be above level 20 combat to recive a task from him.

  15. Werewolf Agility Arena

    You can gain access to the Werewolf Skullball course (Lvl 25 Agilty) and the Werewolf Agility course (Lvl 60 Agility) from here. You must have completed Creature of Fenkenstrain and be wearing a Ring of charos to enter.

  16. Fenkenstrain's Castle

    This is Fenkenstrain's castle. This is the main area for the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest.

  17. Memorial

    Partway through the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest, you must go beneath the eastern most memorial grave to gain access to the mausoleum. In the cave beneath are Experiments (Lvl 25 and 51)

  18. Gate to Mort Myre

    This gate separates Canifis and Mort Myre swamp. Roaming the swamp are snails and ghasts. Ghasts can rot your food, making it inedible, so be prepared!

    Here is where you find body parts in the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest.

  20. Trapdoor

    This trapdoor leads to a tunnel that contains the Myreque's secret hideout before they move to Burgh De Rott.

  21. Agility Shortcut

    This shortcut allows to skip the dungeon tunnel and gives you quick access to Canifis (Lvl 65 Agility required).

Ways to Reach Canifis

Walking: After completion of the Priest in Peril quest, you gain access to Canifis. Heading east from Varrock, follow the fence north to a gate. Open it, and continue north past a temple to the entrance of a dungeon. Head through, then pass through the holy barrier.

Ectofuntus Teleport: You can telport to the Ectofunctus Temple with our Ectophial after completion of the quest Ghosts Ahoy head Northwest past Fenkenstrain's Castle, to a gap in the fencing. Go Southwest and enter Canifis.

Ancient Magicks Teleport: Upon completion of the Desert Treasure quest, and access to the Ancient Spellbook, you can cast Kharyll Teleport (1 blood, 2 laws) to be teleported to Canifis Pub.

Fairy Rings: Having started the quest A Fairy Tale Part 2: Cure a Queen, and gained permission to use the Fairy Rings, the code "CKS" will teleport you slightly Southwest of the city. Near the Fairy Ring is a Mushroom farming patch (Lvl 53 Farming).

Area

POH Portal: Those who own a house with a portal room (50 Construction, 100k) with completion of Desert Treasure, can set the portal up to teleports you to Kharyll. Concentrating your portal permanantly to Canifis requires 200 Laws and 100 Bloods. After that, you can use the Teleport to House (1 Air, 1 Earth, 1 Law), and then use your portal. You arrive at "The Hair of the Dog" tavern after the teleport.

Chartered Ships: Canifis can also be reached by chartering a ship from various ports around RuneScape to Port Phasmatys and walking west.

Other

The Haunted Woods contain many Vampires and Leeches. If you wear a Holy Symbol, Vampires will be weakened, and Leeches won't hurt you at all.

Attacking any of of the men or woman within Canifis will result in them turning into level 88 Werewolf. However, attacking them while weilding the Wolfbane, acquired from the Priest in Peril quest, will result in them staying in their human form, which is level 24.
