This town holds the start Point of Troll Stronghold, The quest that is essential to gain access to Troll Stronghold which rewards you with Law Talisman allowing you to craft Law Runes if you have level 54+ RuneCrafting. There are also many citizens with their own names, instead of Man or Woman, but they don't serve any essential purpose. Most seem paranoid that an attack will come soon. The easiest way to get here is to use the Games Rooms Necklace(Enchanted Sapphire Necklace).

2. "Toad and Chicken Pub". A good place for Wizard Mind Bombs or Dwarven Stouts. The Barmaids in Games area of the castle are part of the same pub, so when a beer is bought from any of them, it's deducted from all the sellers. The maxed out stock is 12 and they respawn quickly, so there's usually a full inventory.
   
   
   
   For the adventurous thiefs of RuneScape, the Rouge's Den is the place to be. To access it, talk to the bartender and do not buy a beer. When you decline he mentions a singing squirrel. Reply in more code speak about a dancing cat. When you enter you must talk to Brian to begin. Before you can enter bank all your stuff. Their is a banker NPC.
   
   
3. "Burthorpe Supplies". The general store. The only interesting item it sells are empty cups, which could be used for Guthix Rest.
   
   
   
   
4. An anvil. It's not very useful considering there's no mines or furnace anywhere around aside from Hero's Guild mine. There is a nearby bank to get bars to smith, but other towns such as Yanille and varrock have anvils much closer to the bank. Dunstan, the man here, also helps you make sleds and spiked boots to help in certain quests. Spiked boots are for the Desert Treasure quest and Death Plateau and the sled is for the Troll Romance quest.
   
   
   
   
5. Turael, The lowest in rank Slayer Master. If you got your assignment from a different Master, you can have him change it for one that will likely be easier, but you will be stuck with that new one until it's done.
   
   
   
   
6. Heroe's Guild. Just South of Burthrope, is the Hero's Guild. The quickest way to recharge your Glory Amulets is to use the Games Rooms Necklace(Enchanted Sapphire Necklace), then go through the Guild to the Fountain of Heroes. Also you can buy dragon maces for 50k here and Dragon Axe for 200k. You need to do the heroes quest to enter.
   
   
   
   
7. A large assembly of training Soldiers. They are level 48 and have claws as weapons. The ones shown here are training and are unattackable. The rest can be killed.
