Description: A dangerous exiled criminal called Solus has returned once more to threaten the civilised lands of RuneScape. The White Knights responsible for dealing with this threat don't seem capable of meeting the challenge... perhaps some adventurer can succeed where they have failed?
Use all of your tracking skills, and a little Temple Knight technology, to track him down and bring this criminal to justice once and for all!
Difficulty: Intermediate
Length: Short
Requirements: Levels:
Must have completed Recruitment Drive Quest.
Must have completed Priest In Peril Quest.
Must have completed Lost Tribe Quest.
Must have completed Rune Mysteries Quest.
Must have 32 Quest points.
Items Needed: 20 rune/Pure essence, Antipoison (for those with 40 combat or below), Food, 10k or Enchanted gem, Molten glass, and a Law rune. You may fined it use full having Teleport runes, Ectophial, Amulet of glory, and Games necklace.
Items obtained during the quest:
CommorbQuest Points Reward: 1
Reward: 5k Slayer Experience, access to the White Knight Armoury, and various items from the "Slow Teleport."
Start Point: Falador Park.
To Start: Speak to Sir Tiffy.
Instructions:
-
Talk to Sir Tiffy in Falador Park. He will tell you about a loop hole in becoming a White Knight. He will then tell you to go talk to Sir Amik.
-
Talk to Sir Amik on the 3rd floor of the White Knights castle (west side) and when he asks you to become his squire you can accept or ask to become a deputy instead, which he will accept. Talk to him again and ask if there are any jobs avaliable. He will say no and you will mutter something about creating a crisis.
Note: if you accepted to become hes Squire for 5 years, then go back to Sir Tiffy, he will tell you that he has send a note to Sir Amik about a dangerous Criminal being on the lose. Go back to Sir Amik and talk to him. Accept to help him go after Solus Dellagar (the dangerous criminal). Now go back to Sir Tiffy with 10,000 coins or 1 Law rune, 1 Molten Glass, and 1 Enchanted gem (slayer gem). Choose to either buy or get a Commorb made which is used to track Solus Dellagar down with help from Savant.
You can now skip all the steps up to 5, and carry on from step 6 on!
-
Go back and talk to Sir Tiffy and he will inform you of a small crisis thats arising. He will tell you to go talk to Sir Amik again for your orders.
-
Once back at Sir Amik, he will greet you and inform you that the "Evil Solus Dellagar", the powerful Murder-Mage, has returned. When you accept his request to assist them he will fully deputize you into the White Knight Order.
-
Go talk to Sir Tiffy again and he will tell you under no circumstances are you to get in direct combat with Solus Dellagar. Instead he will ask you to scout for him. He will give you the option of making or buying an observing orb.
Buying the orb costs 10k. Making the orb requires 1 law rune, 1 Slayer gem, and 1 Molten glass.
Molten glass is made by using soda ash and a bucket of sand on a furnace. Soda ash is made by cooking seeweed on a range.
-
Contact Savant using the communication orb. She will bring you up to speed on your assignment and will give you 2 recordings to watch, 1 of the Zammy mage in Varrock and one of Lord Daquarius of the Black knights.
-
Talk to the Zamorak mage in the temple to the south east of Varrock. (Note: If you haven't started the Mage of Zamorak mini-quest, you have to speak to him north of Edgeville first before speaking to him in Varrock). He will ask you for 20 rune/pure essence (these cannot be in note form) in exchange for the information he has. He will then tell you that Solus moved east from him.
If you're planning on completing the Mage of Zamorak mini-quest simultaneously with this quest, note that the final rune essence teleport to kill Solus does NOT count toward completing the mini-quest.
-
Go to Falador by either walking or using your teleport spells. Go over to the west of Falador and head into the Taverley Dungeon (click link for map). When you enter the dungeon walk north past the Level 22 Skeletons, enter the gate on the East (just ignore the Suit of Armor). From there on walk to the east past the Giant bats, then keep on walking towards the south, past the Magic Axes, Scorpions (these are level 20 and will not attack you if you are combat level 40 or higher), Chaos Dwarfs, Hill Giants, and eventually the Black Knights.
Walk into the huge, go through it to the next room and walk towards the west, you should see Lord Daquarisu there. Talk to Lord Daquarisu and he will refuse to tell you anything, but you are told he is concerned for the safety of his men. Kill a Black knight and he will talk to you and tell you everything you need. Eventually you will work out that he could be in Canifis.
-
Now head over to Canifis (use your Varrock teleport and walk to the north-east, or if you have ancient magicks at your side use that). As you enter, Savant will stop you and give you a lecture on "Slow Teleporting". She will then tell you to scan in Canifis. Do so and a cut scene will happen involving Solus.
-
Savant will retrieve an item from the slow teleport. The item is completely random but it will give you a hint as to where you need to be next. You will have to do this several times until you've found his final location (You will not have to visit every location indicated below).
After you scan each of the locations you get pointed to with the item, you will be cast a spell on by Solus, most are harmless though sometime in the middle of this step Solus will hit you with a very powerful Flames of Zamorak. He will hit you for most of your hp, but you will be teleported to Falador castle and have plenty of opportunity to bank for food. At the last place you find him (before the rune essence mine) he will send a black knight (level 32) after you.

After searching you will find the final location is in the rune essence mine. Head there via one of the Rune Essence Teleport Wizards. You will see a small cut scene of Solus killing about 10 White knights, he deals 70 damage to all of them. Sarvant will tell you has has been weakened greatly and that you are the only one to finish him off. He is ridiculously easy to defeat. After he is dead, take his hat back to Sir Amik.
QUEST COMPLETED!
Right after finishing the quest your White Knight rank is Novice, and you have to kill black knights to advance in rank. Killing white knights can reduce your rank. You can buy and equip any White item from other players regardless of rank.
Talk to Sir Vyvin for access to the armory. He is on the third floor, east side (you also talk to him during the "Knight's Sword" quest). See the White Knight Guide for more information.
