Reward: 2 Quest Points, 7000 Crafting, Magic, Mining, and Firemaking XP, and Akthanakos's Camulet.
Start Point: Lazim, in the desert directly south of the Bandit Camp
To Start: Talk to Lazim
Instructions:
-
Talk to Lazim to start the quest. He will explain to you that he wants to decorate the desert by building a statue in it. Unfortunately he can't use a chisel anymore so he wants you to make it for him.
-
He will first ask you to retrieve blocks of sandstone for him. Head over to the stone quarry to the west to get some. Bring him 32kg of sandstone. (Tiny blocks are 1kg, small blocks are 2kg, medium-sized blocks are 5kg, and large blocks are 10kg.)
-
After he has all the stone that he needs, he will give you a big chunk of sandstone. Use a chisel on it to make the statue's base and legs. Put it on the flat ground next to him.
-
He will now ask for 20Kg of sandstone. Repeat what you did earlier but get 20kg instead of 32kg.
-
After you hand him all the blocks needed, he will hand you another big sandstone block. Use a chisel on it to make the statue's body.
-
Talk to Lazim and he will ask to to chisel the statue a bit more. Do it and then talk to him again. Eventually, he will ask for a head made of granite.
-
You will now have to choose what kind of head do you want to make, after you choose, talk to Lazim.
-
Now go get a block of Granite (medium) and use a chisel on it to make the head that you chose. After you do it, use the head on the statue.
-
After you've finished the statue, The statue will fall and so will you. You'll find yourself inside a temple with Lazim. Talk with him and he'll explain to you what happened.
-
Use your chisel on the statue and take all the limbs. Then talk to Lazim and ask him for the statue's head.
- Take the northern path and try to open the door. You'll see a curious cutscene. Now open the door and go west. Take the Z sigil from the pedestal and then take the western path.
-
Try to open the door. You will see another cutscene. After it finishes, open the door and continue. Take the K sigil and then take the southern path.
-
Try to open the door. After you see the cutscene, open it. Make your way to the next room and take an R sigil. Continue going east until you reach the next door.
-
Try to open the door. Yet again, you'll see a cutscene. When it is over, open the door and go north until the next room. Take an M sigil.
-
You should now have 4 sigils. Head to west to a door and try and open it. After you put a sigil in it, go through and try and open the other three doors. After all four doors have sigils in them, go up the ladder.
-
Now you'll need 1 regular log, 1 oak log, 1 willow log, 1 maple log, 1 lit candle, a piece of coal, some clay, a cake, and a bucket. You'll also need runes to cast a Fire Bolt (or better), a Wind Bolt (or better), and a Crumble Undead spell.
-
Use a fire spell with the frozen fountain to the west to melt it. Now use the fountain to fill your bucket. Use that water on the clay and then put it on the head pedestal. You can use a second piece of soft clay on the pedestal to make your camel mask.
-
Head up the next path to Pentyn. Give him the cake and he will explain some things about the temple to you.
-
Now go to the dark room to the east and put each item on it's correct brazier. (Investigate each one to figure out where to put the items.)
-
Finally, use a wind spell on the furnace to the northeast.
-
Next you must go back to the quarry with the camel mould that you've made. Mine some granite (medium) and use a chisel on it. Take that to the pedestal and use it on it. You will see another cutscene.
-
Walk through the magical barrier and climb up the stairs. Go south and use crumble undead on the Boneguard to release its spirit.
-
Now put the protect from melee prayer on and climb down the ladder. Talk to the skeleton with protect from melee on. You can turn it off when he stops attacking you.
- Take a few blocks from the pile of rubble and use them on the wall. (You have to use a chisel on it each time you add a stone.)
- Once it's finished, talk to the Boneguard again. He will give you a Camulet and you will see a rather interesting cutscene...
