Slaying is a new skill that sends you out to kill a certain number of creatures your Slayer Master assigns you.

Slayer is a members only skill and can only be done on a members server.

Slayer Masters

The difficulty of the creatures you must kill depends on the Slayer Master.

Slayer Locations

When you are sent to kill any regular type of monster and aren't sure where to find it, check RuneHQ's Monster Database. However, there are now three sites with a concentration of the Slayer Masters' favorite monsters, which are also listed in the Slayer Creatures Table below.

The Canifis Slayer Mansion is located directly north of Mort Myre Swamp in Morytania, northwest of Canifis (the Werewolf Village).

The Lumbridge Swamp Dungeon is located in Lumbridge Swamps, far southeast of Draynor Village. The Fremennik Slayer Dungeon can be found near the Golden Apple Tree in the Fremennik Province. This map of the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon was made by Xtotre.

Slayer Points

 

Upon completion of the Smoking Kills quest you can start to acquire Slayer points on your 5th Slayer Task. The amount of points is based upon which Slayer master assigns you your final task. In order to get the first 5 tasks done you are allowed to mix and match between Slayer master. An example of this is doning 4 tasks for Chaeldar and then completing your 5th task for Duradel. This way you will recieved the points Duradel normally grants after 5 of his tasks.

From the 5th task on you will recieve the same set of points for every task assigned. Task 10, and Task 50 are special cases where you receive bonus points. Task 10 grants you 5 times the normal points upon completing. On task 50 you will recieve 15 times the amount of points.

Assignments:

Your first option is to cancel your current task for 30 points. The second option grants the choice of never recieving a monster as a task ever again. The number of monsters you can add to your "Block" list is determined by your quest points. For example, you need 50 points to ignore 1 monster, 100 points for 2, 150 points for 3, and 200 points for 4. You can only have up to 4 monsters on your Never assign again list. Remember: The never receive this task again ONLY lasts 4 assignments. From the 5th assignment on you may be assigned that monster again.

Tips and tricks

• If you feel you can not defeat the higher level enemies, try using some of these alternatives:
  
  Wolves - Ice Mountain Low Level Wolves
  Kalphites - Kalphite Workers
  Blue Dragons - Baby Blue Dragons
  Red Dragons - Baby Red Dragons
  Trolls - Lower Level Trolls
  Birds - Chickens
  
  
• If there is an assignment that you feel you cannot perform, then go back to the Slayer master in Burthorpe before starting, or during it and he will give you a new one, this one you must complete. When you are done with that assignment you may return to your previous Slayer.
  
  
• You can drink Slayer's respite or eat a Wild pie to temporarily raise your Slayer level.
  
  Slayer's respite ale can be brewed from Wildblood hops and is used to temporarily increase Slayer level. Regular Slayer's respite temporarily increases Slayer by 1, while decreasing attack and strength by 3 each. Mature Slayer's respite, aka Slayer's respite(m), temporarily increases Slayer by 2 while decreasing attack and strength by 4 each.
  
  Wild pies can be made with the Cooking skill and add five slayer levels.
