2011 has been one of the most important years ever for RuneScape, and we’ve taken giant leaps forward this year and invested more than ever before in our history. We’ve covered everything from infrastructure and technology through to development talent, near doubling the RuneScape Content Team alone in order to significantly improve this great game for many years to come.

Most of the tangible benefits will start to come through over the course of 2012, so it is truly a great year for everyone to look forward to. The game has seen the return of the Wilderness and Free Trade; huge updates such as Clan Support and Citadels; and some of the longest running story arcs culminating in the Ritual of the Mahjarrat quest.

Looking ahead to 2012, the team have some fantastic updates planned and it’s promising to be a great year indeed!
