Magicstones in a Nutshell

Intro

I know there is already a "guide" to magicstones, but since this guide is not really a guide, like some already remarked , I'll finish the job and make a step by step guide which should cover most of this profession.



First of all, find a NPC who teaches you the 2 required skills:

- Decompose
- Make Magicstone

Hint: Such an NPC can be found in almost all villages and cities. e.g. Sky Village -> the guy right to the apothecary.
Those NPC also offer the soul infusion and sell soul gems, but that’s another story.

After you successfully acquired both skills, press S to open your Skills window and click on the Living Skills tab.
You should now see both slots filled with your newly learned skills.

Your now set and ready to start your glorous carrier as magic stone producer.


1. How decomposing works

The most important thing is: don’t decompose a piece of equipment you might need later, the process is permanent
and the item is destroyed during the decomposing. In return you get depending on the color of the item a green
or a blue crystal. I'll explain later what to do with these crystals. As you might have already guessed, you can only
decompose colored items (green and blue) white items will NOT work. The second restriction is you may only
decompose items which have the tier of your skill (see the following list).

e.g. with your new skill at level 1 you can only decompose items from level 1 to level 10.

2. How to make a magic stone

I assume you already have some crystals made by now, if not read sektion above.
Every magicstone needs 3 components to make (exception are the level 5 receipts):

- 2x ore
- 2x drop loot
- 2x crystals from decomposing

Ore can be harvested from the ore nodes and the drop loot can be accquired from various mobs in the appropriate
level range. e.g. Bandit Gems are drop loot for level 1 receipts and can be looted from... well bandits, just south of
sky village. Once you have all components in your inventory open your skill window by pressing S and switch to the
Living Skill tab. Click on the Make Magicstone icon and choose a receipt from the list. At the bottom of the screen
you'll see which components are required. If you have at least 2 of each you can click on the make button and a
few seconds later you have your first magic stone in your inventory.

3. How to enhance your gear with magicstones

This is the most easiest part. Unequip a piece of your armor or a talisman so it lies in your inventory. Right click on the magicstone which you want to use. The mouse cursor now becomes a hammer of some sort. Now simply left click on the piece of equipment you want to enhance. You will be promted by a window which asks you if your are sure, just click yes. Congratulations, you just successfully enhanced your first piece of equipment with a magicstone. If you now hover your mouse over the item, you can see the enhancement at the bottom of the info tooltip.

Note: Not all piece of equipment can be enhanced by a magicstone. e.g. Rings, Amulets, Belts CANNOT be enhanced.

The new enhancement will stay for 7 days (real time) on your equipment and than vanish. After that you can apply a
new magicstone to the gear. If you want to remove it earlier you need to find yourself a purge flake. Those can be
bought in auction or in the shop for TP.
