You can buy armor from an armor merchant or you can find it in dropped loot. The armor you find in loot will often be better than any that can be obtained from a merchant. So, why don't you get some Halfsteel Armor from the Warrior Merchant Shorty in the North West of the village?

Halfsteel Armor is for beginners so you don't need to worry about its price. You can get the Halfsteel Armor from the Warrior Weapons Merchant Shorty who is in the North West of the village.

You've got it. There are a total of five pieces in an armor set but the beginner's armor set does not include a helmet so its only 4 pieces for now. Don't forget that you can upgrade armor at a Blacksmith if you have a reinforcement potion.
