Guide to Ram Duath Quests

Ram Duath in Angmar is a place of turmoil. Blogmal Orcs and Angmarim travel with siege equipment east and south to the North Downs, while the earth kin of Lehma-Koti attempt to survive living in a crossroads between Angmar and friendlier lands to the south. Heroes of the free people can find plenty of opportunity to help these amiable giants by dealing with the dark and evil orcish forces found to the near Lehma-Koti. All the quests in Lemha-Koti (except for Men of the Hills) lead toward the orcs of the Blogmal tribe, or the evil Angmarim men or goblins beyond. Simply travel further down the road to the east and you cannot avoid finding (in time) the locations you wish. The hardest quests here are Mistress of the Dark and the Far Reaching Hand, both of which really need parties, and The Goblin's Treasure is difficult too, unless you have friends. The rest of the quests are somewhat solo-able to a prepared adventurer.

43 Aslak The Goblin's Treasure Lehma-Koti 3.1S, 39.1W Aslak of the Suuri-lehmä, told you that the goblins have collected hoards of gems in the fort they share with the Angmarim on the north-eastern pass of Ram Dúath. Collect Goblin-gems (5) The goblins of the Ram Dúath have stolen several treasures from the Suuri-lehmä. Aslak has told you that the gems might be found upon the goblins of the Ram Duath, or perhaps in treasure chests within the Angmarim fort to the North-east. (Author's note if you head east from the village, follow the road, close to 0.1S, 35.2W there are plenty of goblins. Lots of fighting though.) 22S, 40C and Rescued Gem
40 Chief Tuokki Orcs in the Ram Duath Lehma-Koti 3.1S, 39.1W Orcs marching through Ram Dúath have unsettled the Earth-kin dwelling there and have cut off any hope of safe return for the Earth-kin hunters sojourning in the North Downs. Defeat Blogmal Fighters (10) Defeat Blogmal Skirmishers (10) There are Blogmal Orcs in the south-east part of the Ram Dúath. The Tuokki, the Earth-kin elder leading the Suuri-lehmä tribe while their chieftain is away south in the North Downs, has asked you to help drive the Blogmal Orcs from Ram Dúath. 21S, 35C
42 Chief Tuokki In the Dark Clefts Lehma-Koti 3.1S, 39.1W Chief Tuokki has asked you to seek out one of the Earth-kin - a scout who was sent into the next valley to spy upon a band of deadly bat-women who have made lair somewhere in the hidden clefts of the Ram Duath. The Chief informed you the scout had a small camp hidden high up along the wall of the valley to the East. Talk to the Earth-kin Scout (Author's Note: To reach the scout, head east from Lehma-Koti, and you will find him at 3.8S, 36.3W. He has to be reached by going along a steep path leading east then north to his position.) 8S, 82C
41 Eetu Fruits of the Earth Lehma-Koti 3.1S, 39.1W The Earth-kin are fond of a certain kind of tuber that grows in the gorges in the east side of Ram Dúath in the Duvairë -- the places now frequented by the Orcish-army and merrevail. Collect Root Vegetables (10) The root vegetables grow in the gorges on the east side of Ram Dúath in the Duvairë. Eetu has asked you to gather vegetables for the Earth-kin of the Suuri-lehmä. (Author's note: To reach this location head toward the siege equipment (east) and follow the wall, it will make a sharp turn to 3.2S, 36.5W, where the "fruit" are. Watch the walls carefully, the plants are hard to see here.) 21S, 70C and Root Finders (Gloves)
40 Aarnika Silken Strands Lehma-Koti 2.9S, 39.2W The Earth-kin, rugged, practical, and earthy as they are, make extensive use of silk, which they obtain almost exclusively from spiders. Collect Skeins of Spider Silk (10) There are spiders throughout Ram Dúath. Aarnikka has asked you to collect silk from the spiders of the Ram Dúath. (Author's Note: These can be found east of the camp in large numbers) 21S, 35C and Shiny Metal (knife)
42 Santtu Stolen Skulls Lehma-Koti 2.6S, 39.4W Aurochs skulls apparently have some significant meaning to the Earth-kin of the Suuri-lehmä, and some have been stolen from them.  Collect Auroch's Skull The aurochs skulls are likely in Skathmur in the eastern part of Ram Dúath. Santtu has asked you to recover a stolen aurochs skull. (Author's Note: The skull is found at 5.0S, 36.4W, in an orc camp to the east. It isn't an easy place to get into, there are several orcs near the skull. However, many of them are patrolling, and can be picked off one by one. This leaves you with three orcs total to fight, all level 41.) 22S, 5C and Auroch's Skull Talisman
42 Earth-kin Scout Wings of Darkness and Death (requires In the Dark Clefts) Ram-Duath 3.8S, 36.3W The Earthkin Scout has been attacked by strange folk who have come into Ram Dúath from the North. He told you the women with wings are in league with the Angmarim. Defeat Merravail (12) The bat-winged creatures who injured the Earth-kin scout are in the eastern gorges of Ram Dúath. The Earth-kin scout's request was for you to kill the vicious merrevail so that others will not be injured or worse. (Author's note: To reach this location head toward the siege equipment (east) and follow the wall, it will make a sharp turn to 3.2S, 36.5W, where the merrevail are. Be aware they are elites.) 22S, 5C
42 Earth-kin Scout Mistress of Shadows (requires Wings of Darkness and Death) Ram-Duath 3.8S, 36.3W You have assisted the Earthkin scout, but the morroval-threat remains, endangering the Earth-kin and all else who dwell in the hills of Angmar. Slay Morcheryn Morcheryn dwells in a cave on the east side of Ram Dúath, where the other merrevail can also be found. The Earth-kin scout has asked you to seek out and destroy the leader of the Merrevail for the safety of his people. He also suggested you take friends. (Author's note: the entrance to the instance is along the right wall where the Morroval's are found. Inside are bats (normal) and morroval (not normal). If your fellowship can handle 3 morrovals at once, than you can handle this quest.) 22S, 5C and Estelphadanir (Pants) or Fall of the Mistress (Sword) or Earth-kin's Shoulder Guards
41 Chief Tuokki Strength of Stone (requires Orcs in the Ram Duath) Lehma-Koti 3.1S, 39.1W The Earth-kin have been destroying the siege-engines of the Angmarim as they wheel them through Ram Dúath, but now they are too strongly guarded for the Earth-kin to reach. Destroy Catapults (2) Destroy Seige Towers (2) The war-engines -- siege towers and catapults -- of the Angmarim are in the eastern part of Ram Dúath. Tuokki has asked you to help destroy the Angmarim siege-towers and catapults. (Author's note: If you continue you east along the road, you cannot fail to reach all the siege equipment you need to destroy.) 21S, 70C and Seige Shooter (bow) or Seige Slasher (dagger) or Seige Stomper (boots)
42 Chief Tuokki The Far Reaching Hand (requires Strength of Stone Lehma-Koti 3.1S, 39.1W Chief Tuokki is worried that the Angmarim who command the Orcs will send them to fight the Earth-kin. Defeat the Iron-crown Captain Frith-vailë is in the north-east part of Ram Dúath. Chief Tuokki, hoping to discourage the Orcs and the Angmarim, has asked you to defeat the Captain of the Angmarim in Ram Dúath. (Author's note: The captain is found at 2.8S, 35.6W) 22S, 5C and Tuokki's Halberd or Foe of the Iron Crown (dagger) or Pure Athelas Extract (3)
42d Pirkka Men of the Hills (requires the Far Reaching Hand) Lehma-Koti 2.6S, 39.4W Pirkka of the Suuri-lehmä, told you of a clan of Hillmen in Angmar who are friendly to them and should be made aware that the main body of the Orc-host has passed south into the North Downs.. Talk to Crannog Aughaire is west of the northern pass of Ram Dúath, a valley concealed and surrounded by hills. There is also said to be a secret trail that goes there directly from the Earth-kin village. Pirkka has asked you to take the news of the passage of the Orc-army to Crannog, chief of the Hillmen of Aughaire. (Author's note: Crannog is found following the north road, at 0.1S, 40.2W) 8S, 80C
