Aughaire Quest Guide

By Darkgolem

Aughaire is the last large settlement of free peoples before one is at the very doorstep of Angmar. Certainly, there are other handfuls of good folk in Angmar, but these are the only ones that willing live in the shadows of the evil kingdom. The people here are rough and hardy, with much in the way of tradition. Unfortunately, the Trév Gállorg are threatened by both the Angmarim humans and orcs, and a rival tribe who have fallen under the influence of the Angmarim, the Trév Duvárdain. All about the Trév Gállorg of Aughaire there are dangers, including the vile beasts of the land, the wargs, the hill-beasts and even worse in the swamps to the east. However, the Trév Gállorg stand between Angmar and the others members of the Free People willingly, and could use the help of a member of anyone in assistance. Many quests are available here, and they have pretty good rewards. For one thing, there are several armor and item sets here, all of which are not particularly hard to gather, and provide substantial bonuses. Certainly, they are overshadowed by better, even higher level, items in further adventurers, but these item sets certainly make a great set of armor of for all classes in the interim. Additionally, the quests here unlock later areas in Angmar, including Fail-á-Khro to the north, and further quests to the east. Make sure to pick up and complete book 6 here, enabling you to pass the watcher stones to the east.
