Dwarf cannons boomed, the thunderous noise echoing in the vast underground chamber. On the opposite side of the great ravine that divided the stone cavern, a dozen Orcs were blasted apart. A dozen more charged forward to take their place, and the Greenskins returned fire with a volley of flaming arrows.
Fimki Grimgirsson stared hard at the horizon, his flint-grey eyes picking out a small green shape moving slowly in the distance. He drew a deep breath as he cocked the hammer on his handgun and took aim. The Thunderer released his breath as he squeezed the trigger. In the distance, a Goblin exploded into several pieces. Fimki smiled in satisfaction – something he rarely had cause to do in these hard times.
The combined forces of the Oathbearers and the Bitterstone Clan Dwarfs had proven more than a match for the greenskins at the Bitterstone Mine. The Dwarfs had driven out most of the invading Orcs and Goblins and had now begun to reclaim the lands around the mine, which the Dwarfs called Ekrund.
Though the ringing of picks on stone once again echoed from the craggy canyons and forested slopes, the battle was far from over. The Orcs had been surprised by the arrival of the Oathbearers, but all across Ekrund and in nearby Mount Bloodhorn, they were regrouping for a counterattack.
Things at the Redhammer Pub, meanwhile, had not been going well. Once, in the days when the Dwarfs still held domain over Ekrund, the pub was a popular railroad stop. When the greenskins invaded, they had destroyed the tracks in several places.
After the Dwarfs had gained control of the Bitterstone Mine, General Ironmane dispatched a company of Engineers to the pub with orders to repair the train tracks, and to put the tavern back in working order. With the trains running again, shipments of ore from the mine could be doubled. Meanwhile, the fresh supplies of ale would do wonders for the morale of the beleagured Dwarfs.
A regiment of Thunderers under the command of Olfgrom Redhammer was assigned to protect the Engineers as they worked. Olfgrom was a direct descendant of the pub's founder, Droki Redhammer, and the general knew the old Dwarf would take great pride in seeing the Redhammer back in business.
"Good shot, Fimki!" bellowed Olfgrom from the porch of the pub, his tankard held high in salute. "I heard tell old Mordrin's got a crew down Ancestor's Watch pumping out the water. The ore's so plentiful at the bottom, they're pulling it from the rock with their bare hands!"
"Humph!" grumbled the old Thunderer in reply. "More ore to hand over to these Oathbearers, so we can watch them cart it off to the Worlds Edge Mountains with naught to show for it.
"Have another ale and stop your complainin'. It's makin' me head ring. Any sign of those reinforcements from Bitterstone?"
"None," answered Fimki dourly, watching as another Goblin peered up from a distant outcropping. "But they'd better be here soon – I'm almost out of shot."
CHAPTER 2: Durak's Gate
Red Hammer Station
Location: Just east of the Redhammer Pub
Rally Master: Krogan Redhammer
Influence Rewards::
-Basic: Health, Action Points, Heal over Time or Damage Absorbing Potions
-Advanced: Boots or Belt
-Elite: Green Weapon
Stage I: Kill 100 Bloody Sun Choppa - That's right, 100 of these guys which aren't available at once but respawn every few mins. Around level 4 and 5 these guys drop really easily and with a mob of people you'll be fighting over targets.
Stage II: Destroy 3 Rock Lobbers - 10 Minutes. You'll see three large catapults sitting in various locations of the stairway. At the base next to the tavern you'll see clickable powder barrels. Place three of them around each Rock Lobber and it will explode. Note that each Rock Lobber does have a crew of Champion Con level 4 and 5's you'll have to remove first. Once the equipment is destroyed Stage III will commence immediately.
Stage III: Kill Warboss Grimskull and 2 Grimskull Shaman - 10 Minutes. After the last Rock Lobber crumbles in the middle of the staircase Warboss Grimskull and his two friend will appear. Being his companions are Shaman and can heal, it's usually advisable to take care of them first. Warboss Grimskull is a level 4 Hero con meaning you'll likely need a group of at least 4 or 5 to take care of him. Once he is killed the PQ is over and loot is rolled for.
Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.
Redhammer Brewery
Location: East of the Redhammer Pub along the railroad tracks
Rally Master: Krogan Redhammer
Influence Rewards::
-Basic: Health, Action Points, Heal over Time or Damage Absorbing Potions
-Advanced: Boots or Belt
-Elite: Green Weapon
Stage I: Kill 30 Bloodsun Scavengers. These are single target mobs who can be found around the train cars. Around level 5 they die pretty easily, but bring a friend to make things faster.
Stage II: Salvage 8 Beer Barrels and Revive the Wounded - 5 Minutes. Spilled out along the side of the train cars are some barrels of beer. As in real life beer can be used to revive some of the wounded train passengers, you just need to get it. Unfortunately it's guarded by level 5 Champion con Bloodsuns so once they are dead it's just a matter of grabbing the barrels and talking to the NPC's. Once the last dwaf has been revived, the final stage will begin.
Stage III: Kill Ugrog, the Beerthirstin' Squigs and their Handlers - 10 Minutes. The absolute worst nightmare of any true Dwarf, enemy forces are coming for your beer. Unwilling to lose a single drop to those Greenskins you must kill 4 large Squigs, their 2 handlers, and a very thirsty giant. The group should concentrate on the Squigs which should go pretty easily before handling the giant. He does hit pretty hard so have a healer or taunter on hand to step in so no one dies.
Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.
CHAPTER 2: Murgluk's Gits
Durak's Mine
Location: Just east of the pub inside a cave. Look for a railroad bridge.
Rally Master: Rordin Ironmane
Influence Rewards::
-Basic: Health, Action Points, Heal over Time or Damage Absorbing Potions
-Advanced: Boots or Gloves
-Elite: Green Weapon
Stage I: Find the Dwarves. The mine is crawling with Gits which will doubtlessly get in your way but your objective is to find the injured Dwarves. These solo creatures die very easily and are around level 5.
Stage II: Kill the Boss Gits - 5 Minutes. The mine has a series of Champion Con Boss Gits which have to be defeated in order to proceed to Stage III. They will require at least 2 or 3 others to defeat and are located mostly on the bottom level of the area.
Stage III: Kill Murgluk - 10 Minutes. At the very bottom of the mine is your boss fight with Murgluk. Pulling him up the ramp does ocassionally cause some pathing issues so keep him on the lower level if you want a fight without frustration. He does appear to have a snare so beware of that as well. Once he is defeated the PQ Loot chest will appear at the very bottom.
Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.
